Traditions and Rites:

Rite of Worth:

As the name states: This ritualistic practice is used to weed out the weak, and to prove one's worth. If any newcomer wishes to find full acceptance within the tribe, then they must pass their rite, or die trying.
No two trials are exactly alike, as the task a dragon must preform is custom tailored to that individual. Rites are often built with the goal of encouraging strengths and challenging weaknesses, however, they always carry some dire consequence should the subject(s) fail, e.g: failing to tell the difference between a safe food item and a potentially deadly look-alike.

The Blessing:

It is considered a great honor to decide to be exalted and serve the Plaguebringer. There is an small spring of water that bubbles up between the cracks of the Shaman's den. The strange properties of the water have been found to be almost miraculous as far as inoculating anyone to otherwise deadly diseases, should they survive the ensuing fever. The dragons expecting to make the difficult pilgrimage to the Wyrmwound take up this blessed water to be better prepared for the journey ahead. The spring is reserved almost exclusively for exaltees and hatchlings, due to the scarcity of rainfall.

The Hierarchy:

The hierarchy of the tribe is based primarily on familial bonds and mutual respect rather than any strict bureaucracy. Though one's position within the tribe isn't strictly enforced, everyone seems to know their place. In-fighting is a very uncommon occurrence, but it is dealt with whenever it arises. If someone feels that a leader has become corrupt, or is no longer fit to do their job, then they must provide sufficient evidence and demonstrate a show of their strength that is judged by the whole clan.
