Though its roots were birthed within the shade of the Tangled Woods, Nyctea’s era of Shadow dragons dwindled, its once strict bloodline replaced by a varying assortment of scattered heritage. The clan’s unity never wavered however, their allegiance forged from strength, respect and residency gained from displaying proficiency in battle. There was no home for the weak or uninterested within Nyctea.
Time passed and in the clan of scrappers, Ice dragons rose as the uncontested majority between its more permanent patrons. Like the rest of Nyctea, they spared little thought to their homeland while residing within the Wood; until the arrival of a serious wanderer with steely eyes. |

The foreigner introduced himself as Jaxon, and he spoke to entire clan, albeit his message specifically geared towards its icy residents. “Why do you stay within this dark wood? Wouldn’t you rather experience your birthright?” His voice intoned, monotonous, devoid of the usual passion that was common between the rowdy clan of fighters.
While most had scoffed at the newcomer’s questions (who was he to suggest how they handle their clan), Jaxon’s words planted a seed of wonder within a young scholar, and his curiosity only swelled until the boy proposed an appeal to the senior council. Kell suggested they consider the traveler’s words; he could lead them through a grand odyssey, an opportunity to test and hone their skills in a conquest to an unfamiliar land. The Skydancer’s clever words swayed their opinion, and so they agreed to Jaxon’s terms and set off for the frigid terrain of the Southern Icefields. |
