The breeze is a clan of dragons hidden away from the world. Secluded and secret, the breeze is a safe place to live. To join, dragons land in the general area of the clan and wait to be noticed. They take a test of sorts to join- but anyone can join the breeze. The test determines what their role will be in the clan- a healer, a hunter, anything really. Then the bamboo will part and lead to a series of tunnels and halls, paths running through the bamboo forest. The bamboo touches at the top to create ceilings, and bigger rooms are carved into the steppes.

Coraline and Palefrost lead the clan. They founded the clan together. Palefrost is somewhat the co-leader, though, and Coraline does most of the heavy lifting. They make sure there is always enough to eat, disputes are settled, they stay hidden and safe, and just that everything goes smoothly.

While there is no official ranking system, dragons in the clan do give each other different levels of respect. It's unspoken, but you could say it goes 123: 1 being the highest, that would be Coraline, Palefrost, and maybe a few others. Then 2 is normal dragons, and 3 are the dragons nobody likes, nobody talks to. Rather than being a pyramid, it's more like a kite shape- less 3s than 2s. Maybe less 3s than 1s. While 1s and 2s talk to each other and whatnot, nobody will really interact with a level 3.

Dragons in the clan share everything and work together: Fresh food can be found in one of the caves, hatchlings stay in the nursery while their parents work, Dragons share sleeping caves, and contents of the hoard belong to everybody. Once a day, a group of 7 dragons hunt and fish for the clan. Once every 2 days, a group of 15 dragons find plants and insects to feed the clan. Dragons who leave the clan are fondly remembered and written down. Should the clan acquire gene scrolls, they vote upon who should get it. The clan has beautiful gardens, a healing cave, the hoard, gazing pools, sleeping caves, a library, and more. There is also Bunny, who we don't talk about. Helenite, the long-lost prince, is also notable being very cold but intelligent. Gelato is the keeper of the hoard, Kraken, Twilight, and Transcendence are the band Midnight, Fool is the trickster, Macbeth is the fighting trainer, Rune is the WishKeeper, and Aibleen is the botanist.
