- -- ✶ LORE INTRODUCTION ✶ ---- --- -- - Part 1: A strange disease has taken root in Rattlebrook, a technologically and culturally primitive town isolated from the rest of Sornieth by woodland which seems to strangle outsiders. Nothing and nobody is immune to its corrupting influence. Villagers find themselves drawn towards the region's long-retired dungeons by the disease-induced compulsion to search for... something. While a the pursuit of treasure is quite reasonable, and the dungeons are certain to contain large quantities amongst their spiralling hallways, the casualties have become problematic. Blood blankets the dungeon floors, and its taste seems to have awakened the dungeons. Monsters have become restless and the bravest amongst them now endanger Rattlebrook's remaining residents. A handful of dragons have dedicated themselves to slaying these monsters however even these knights feel themselves succumbing to the disease. A cure is nowhere in sight. *None of the dragons below are knights lol just placeholders
