The grand walls of Olympia tower from a distance, a tall shadow across sun-soaked plains. The gilded edges of the columns draw the eye, and then lets it venture to imperfect marks upon the stone. Untouched by time, but not conflict.
New-coming acolytes might know of the the clan's historical sieges and each of their scars upon the ancient pillars. But there they witness new imperfections too recent to have yet healed but too insignificant to be recorded in the great pages of history. The uneven growth of grass as new seedlings push through a thin later of ash. The sharp look of the old guard's good eye, the other clouded and scarred over, as he twists the handle of his glaive. The well-cared for edge catches the light.
The young and the foolish regard it all as a colourful history, while the old and wise claim that Olympia would turn its teeth upon itself should no one else draw its ire.
War is threaded through the very identity of the walled city. From its very founding Olympia has been know for its militant might, its first leader and all who follow carry the title of Warmaster. The mirror title of Peacekeeper is a recent and still controversial addition to its politics.
Luckily, or not, there is no shortage of threats for the current Warmaster to dig his teeth into. From the growing swarm of Mirrors to the east, to the encroaching shadows from the west, and in the far-far distance is the shake of earth under the rampage of an undead beast.
