PS: If you finish the series, I highly recommend The Demon in the Wood! It's a little novella about said character and I cried my eyes out while reading it :') I found it online pretty easily.

Most of the angry people I see are those who really like the character. The fandom's pretty divided; some love him and others hate him ^^' I think it depends on your opinion of him. He got a nice ending though :D

Hmm...I think the Six of Crows duology was a bit better, but the Grishaverse books aren't bad. I've heard people say that the romance could be better though. Have you read any samples yet? I read the series online; I can try to find the site for you :D
