On the windswept plain of the arcane islands, a young dragon made his claim among the daunting reaches. It took him many years to attract new followers, as his mission was bleak and selfless. An orb of infinite light and unbelievable arcane power known to them as the Heartstone was given to the dragon Dathamier on his hatchday by a dying father. Now he, and any who stand with him, protect it from the forces beyond dragonkind's understanding.
