Deep bellow the Wispwillow Grove, a lost city breathes once more. Noklaeo, the Hidden City. Like the ruins scattered across both Light and Shadow, this city to was the work of an ancient civilization. Only, the structures have not felt the weathering hands of wind and rains. As such, the buildings and temples stand strong. Only age and plant-life have touched the stones and mortar. For an age, the city remained hidden. But the sky-side lands became enveloped in shadow, and the Mother knows everything in Her domain. Though She knew of it, none of Her children could reach it. So She waited, waited until the elements themselves worked their way into the rock. A cavern formed, deep and spacious, but this still did not reach down far enough. She blessed the land, and its lushness enticed a Clan of her children to settle there. Their coming and goings, their building and carving, their presence, it all loosened the remaining rock. Slowly, but much more rapidly than just water alone could accomplish. And one day, finally, the rock began to crumble. The Mother Spoke. And the Oracle, the most devout of Her children, heard. |
