Despite Regulus' gentle tone of voice,Jevudhat was so absorbed into his reading that he still got startled by the Pearlcather's presence.
It took him a second to chill out and realize who it is,after that he nodded and stood up.
The Alchemist picked up the book and returned it back to where he took it from-apparently he's very keen on tidy environments and nearly organizing things.
If an astrologist saw him, they would likely say that he's a Virgo.

"No,no deary it's fine.
Good luck."
Kavas watched them go humbly, her green eyes followed the carmine male with longing...
After all there's a tiny piece that the Alchemist doesn't seem to remember...

Long ago she and her husband lived in the Plague lands, where they had a clutch of two eggs-sadly only one of them survived the desiases and countless challenges of the Plaguebringer.
The two parents named the child Jevudhat and treasured him dearly.
Eventually the Merge came around but...it was too early-he was still a child, not old enough to participate.
Yet the leader of the sect kept insisting and each time they firmly refused.
So they decided to abandon the young one in the Sandswept Delta,in a village that's far away from the upcoming carnage.

The leader kept watching the two walk over to Shercei for a moment before, returning back to the pantheon.
After all,she still has her own share of tasks to do.
And if they need something-the Head Advisor is still available, since he's kind of like her substitute in case she's gone for a bit.

Regulus apologized for startling him. "Sorry.." He says. He went to Shercei and once all together he thinks. "I best return to Ashfall. Thank you for the help you two." He says. He knew he probably wouldn't have found the lair himself... he stood up and looked in the distance. He had the trade agreement, food for materials. He just needed to get the food together for the clan to transport.

However he didn't know if his companions would be ok, or if he was allowed to go. The cult here didn't seem to think he was dangerous, which was a relief given how he had met with the ruler. But at the same time, he was worried.. he knew cults weren't exactly idle. Part of him argued they were planning something. But he dismissed it as his imagination making him paranoid. He says farewell to Kavas and began preparations to leave.

The three started making their way back or so were planning but our Alchemist had enough of walking in circles,so he quickly signed that he'll be right back and hurried over to Latoth.
Luckily,he wasn't too far off.
Jevudhat tapped the other beast lightly on the shoulder and politely asked if they have a map, making signs.
At first the Assassin frowned in confusion, then paused and carefully watched the other sign.
"A map? Yes,we have one.
Hang on,give me a second."And with that he was gone.
He came back with a rolled up scroll and handed it to the Alchemist, then went off to deal with his other tasks.
The carmine male quickly bolted back to his companions and held out the map triumphantly, wich made the Opheodrys snicker.
And the snickering turned into giggles, untill she bursted out laughing.
Jevudhat looked at her questioningly then turned to look at Regulus as if asking what was wrong with the girl.

Regulus didn't notice him run off, though when she began laughing he shrugged having no idea. Regulus though wasn't looking well... as he walked out of the clan he felt sick. He knew He was tired, but now, now he was feeling awful... he couldn't keep his balance and began to appear pale. He kept walking though determined to get home.

He knew He was tired, but now, now he was feeling awful... he couldn't keep his balance and began to appear pale. He kept walking though determined to get home.
This made the Alchemist look at the Pearlcather with worry and think about what could be the cause of the sudden sickness.
Maybe it's just a common cold?He thought but his mind seemed to be having a different opinion on this.
He kept slithering next to Regulus quietly, discreetly keeping an eye on him while holding the map.
Shercei had fallen silent as well and was currently slithering next to her friend.
And like things weren't bad enough, the sun seemed to be in a hurry to get off the horizon, thus night seemed to be fast approaching.

Both beasts instantly got on high alert for any threats,as they both strained their ears in order to hear even the tiniest hint of danger.
Shercei slowly pulled out her cutlass from its shaft that was securely strapped to her back and handed her friend one of the daggers she had managed to smuggle from the pirates before they were given the booth.

Rumors has it that many Rogues, thieves and criminals show up at night to look for easy prey while hidden by darkness-lurking along with the natural predators of the Tangled Wood.

The fog slowly but surely tightened its grip on Sornienth and the foggy veil became thicker, soon thunder boomed into the distance and heavy rain started pouring.
This would be a night neither of them will ever forget.
Jevudhat grimaced apprehensively as he got more worried that Regulus might get worse.
What if he collapses in the middle of nowhere? Where are they gonna go?What are they going to do?
Questions filled his mind and he shook his head, then trained his eyes ahead, turning his head in al directions, scanning the surroundings carefully.
Besides him the Opheodrys was doing the same.

Shercei quickly disappeared off and came back just as quickly with a stick and some old rope.
Jevudhat took out one of his smaller vials and gave it to her.
She skillfully tied a knot around the vial, then affixed it to the end of the stick, making a makeshift lantern.
The two stuck close to Regulus' side.

Regulus continues to walk, though he was seeming to get worse as the weather diminished. He was not sure how he got sick, but he wasn't doing well. He tripped on occasion and muttered something but never seemed to speak to them. He continues to move through the land before eventually stopping and coughing. He wasn't near shelter as he sat in the rain. "What's wrong with me?" He asks himself. It didn't feel like he was going to be ok at any moment. He didn't notice them remain close or actually become concerned about him as he sat. He made very little noise as he sat in the rain catching his breath and trying to stay awake. He was tired and felt sick.. he had no health potions or anything either.

Eventually he couldn't see anything except their lanterns, he wasn't walking though... he felt weak and thought he should rest. But he found himself incapable of sleeping... he sitting there awake as an hour passed. He didn't hear anything except the rain.

Both suddenly halted in their tracks when they noticed that Regulus isn't with them.
Shercei quickly put the makeshift lantern in the shaft of her cutlass and both Serthis sprinted back to the Pearlcather.
Both exchanged serious and concerned looks then tried to make Regulus get up and keep moving, otherwise they may have to dragg him around in a last ditch attempt. Both really hoped that this last resort option won't have to happen but judging by the looks of it,it seems very likely.
"C'on mate, get up! We 'ave t'go,jus a wee bit-at least 'till we reach some kind o' shelter as it seems like travelin' is a mission impossible at te moment."
Jevudhat kept insistently trying to make the dragon get up while his friend talked.
Regulus..he looked so frighteningly pale and these random mumblings didn't seem like anything good either.

Regulus didn't answer immediately... he very shakily stood and began to walk again. "Ok." He says. It was all he said as he walks trying to find shelter, so far their worst fears were true, he was very sick and only getting weaker... he was very slow as he walked through the woods trying to find shelter to hunker down in. "Where are we going?"

"Where are we going?"
All his companions could say was 'to find shelter.' and nothing else as they didn't really know where exactly is the nearest cave or ancient build located since none of these things are marked on the map but they can't bring themselves to lie to him.
The three kept trekking forward with the two serthis determinedly urging Regulus to stay awake and keep walking, promising him that eventually they'll find a good shelter.
After a while of struggling and pushing, they finally stumbled upon something.

"I can see somethin'...it's..a cave! C'on mates hold on we're 'ere!"Shercei said happily and soon enough they were in the cavern-all tired and soaked with rain.
Still even then one of them still remained firmly by the Pearlcather's side while the other went outside to hunt and scavenge for anything that can be used.
Jevudhat remained by Regulus's side, wich surprised the girl, and watched over the fire.

Quietly he opened his journal and started flipping through it in hopes of finding a recipe for a strong healing potion or something fairly close-anything that can help get the dragon back on his feet.
The Alchemist would ocassionally glance at Regulus before going back to scoring his journal.

Meanwhile Shercei was out there in the open, fighting the strong winds and the vicious storm in her quest of scavenging.
Eventually she managed to dragg back to the cave two things:
An intact ceramic pot that was full with rain water and an empty clay pot with its upper part being gone, leaving it like an odd oversized bowl of sorts.
She left the things before her friend and walked outside again, scavenging for more items.
The Alchemist left his journal on the ground and somehow managed to make a heavily improvised fither with what little resources he has at his disposal.
He filled it with the rain water from the other pot and set it on the fire, luckily the flames kept going.
He left it like that so the water can boil.

Regulus entered the cave and essentially collapsed... his pearl rolling to the back of the cave. He fell asleep almost instantly, his eyes closed as he laid there. He clearly wasn't well, it occured quickly and without warning, not to mention how he has become significantly weaker since falling sick. He didn't move much and if he hadn't been breathing, he could have been mistaken as a fallen dragon... he didn't know they were trying to help him as he rested. He had gotten more pale and seemed to have been struggling to even get to the cave.

In his armor was the list of trade goods, and a note to himself to scout more. Though there was nothing about his clan or anything else on his person... he occasionally would twitch, but never alot. It seemed as though something was draining him of energy.
