Today RaisingCain is split into three factions: Eldarin, Angband, and Valarin. Most starter prompts will arise from the following: the Eldarin faction is outgrowing its territory and looking to settle in new lands, so they often send out scouts and explorers. The Angband faction is actively harassing Eldarin, and often looks to recruit soldiers or obtain other military resources. All (finished) bios will tell whether a dragon is a muse (more below!), whether they have magical/elemental powers, and what faction they belong to. Basically, no harassing other players and keep it all PG-13. 4. Be clear about who your character is addressing (whether my character or someone else's) 5. Max 3 posts per RP'er per day, and please ping both me and the other RP'er! 6. Use {{double brackets like this}} for anything ooc (out of character) 7. Don't go back and make major edits on earlier posts 8. In other words, it's not about who has the longest or funniest or most grammatically correct writing: it's about whichever character interaction I liked with the current muse. - Muses are "speaking characters" in my lair - that is, these are the dragons I'll write as. You can always check the bio if unsure: Muse? yes/no is the first thing each one includes. - You can try a lot of things with the muse in the prompt! Based on your character and the prompt-muse's bio, you might try bartering, threatening, seducing, bringing up their friends or mates or enemies, or trying to get another muse's attention [i][b]Just remember to follow FR terms of service! [/b][/i] - You can absolutely interact with the other RP'ers! And yes, this includes teaming up, either against my character or against someone else's :) [b][i]BUT, see next[/i] [/b] - If you want to [i]directly influence[/i] any other character (i.e. injuring, kidnapping, seducing, etc.), [i][b]you [u]MUST[/u] get the other player's permission in this thread[/b][/i] (so I can see it). Also, the affected player (i.e. the one with the newly-injured or kidnapped dragon) can [i][b]always[/b] [/i]revoke the action or influence (i.e. heal the injury or have the kidnappee escape). [indent][size=2]EXAMPLE: RP'er A wants to injure the dragon of RP'er B to gain my prompt-muse's sympathy. but basically, a sneak preview: due to issues with maintaining RP long-term, I'm going to try limited multi-player RPs for small FR prizes. ~3 other people get to pick their best RP dragon/character, or the one they think will interact best with whoever I post, and compete with each other to get my character's interest/trust/fear and in the end, the prize!

still setting up RP bios and rules and stuff, but I hope it will be fun :)
