TOPIC | [PINGLISTS] Dragons with Art or Writing
1 2 ... 15 16 17 18 19 ... 21 22
@JCStitches

Thank you!

I've removed it, though it was there as a reference to art that follows the rules, since some things people consider risque are still within FR guidelines, to my knowledge. Like swimsuit or silk outfits, or shirtless men.

Would it be alright if I added in this rule?

"If your art or writing contains sensitive or questionable content, review FR's guidelines to make sure it's acceptable. If it is, please consider prividing a content warning and only showing a preview or link instead of sharing the entire piece in the ping post. If in doubt of whether your art follows FR guidelines, please contact them directly. Sensitive and questionable content may include Plague aesthetic, death, cults, and creepy eyes, as examples."

Essentially just asking for content warnings. (Which was the intent of the original rule, content warnings for anything that fits site rules but some people may not be comfortable with, but I realize that "risque" has a broader meaning than I meant.)

Hello @Vely! We (the Flight Rising team) do not want pornographic, extremely violent, or gory images on, offered, or commissioned on the Flight Rising website in any capacity. These are laid out in our Code of Conduct, but here's a quick rundown:

Disclaimer: Examples include but are not limited to what is listed below. If you aren't sure, please feel free to contact one of our Volunteer Moderators.

  • OKAY: Doll lines to indicate physical form
  • OKAY: Images depicting violence should be consistent with Flight Rising lore
  • OKAY: Linking to your portfolio, devArt, etc
  • NOT OKAY: Suggestive/sexualized poses, pubic hair, pornography
  • NOT OKAY: Gratuitous gore or violent imagery
  • NOT OKAY: Linking to your portfolio, devArt, etc when they showcase content not allowed on Flight Rising.

While we simply do not want such content on our website, please keep in mind that not every player on Flight Rising is over the age of 18.

If your thread or offer is moderated because the content or content being offered is not allowed, it's more or less standard issue forum moderation and your account will most likely be fine. As always, we review any cases brought to our attention based on context, severity, intent, and forum/account history. I hope this information helps!

@Aequorin

Thanks, but I feel like my words are being misinterpreted. When I talk about a content warning, I mean things like this:

  • Writing in which a dragon has to deal with death and/or grief
  • Writing or art which may involve references to fictional cults or witchcraft
  • Writing or art which may feature creepy things--(the Riot of Rot vista from last year, skin #3888)
  • Art which may deal with anatomy/muscles/disease (skins #14117, 20166, 6727)
  • An attractive character that's not NSFW or suggestive, but may be a tad risque (for example, like some of Gainstrive's work, which is my current basis for the word "risque" and the way I have been using it thus far)

As in, stuff that is permitted on FR, but that some people may want a content warning for before they see or read it.

With the full wording of the rule, I included reminders to check that content follows FR's rules, in order to be more clear that I am not encouraging people to break FR's rules, and to ensure that their content follows FR's rules before posting or linking to it at all.

I wanted to double check before adding the "please consider content warnings" rule, so that it didn't look like I was circumventing the removal of the "warn for risque content" rule.

I am fully aware of FR's limits. I am not interested in advertising anything not permitted by FR, nor in encouraging others to do so.

@Vely, ah, yes. I can see why it feels like that. It's more this presented an opportunity about art posted to our website overall.

In general, something like "Hey, in my lore, this dragon lost their favorite familiar/pet" would be okay; however, many folks have different ideas of what's acceptable and sometimes feel content warnings are all they need. You can link to my comment in your reminder about our rules, if you'd like. I hope that clears things up!

Okay, thanks! I will add the updated rule to the first post and link to your comment.

@Aequorin or @JCStitches I saw this you wrote while using/seeing the pinglist. Is art of male gijinkas without shirt on dragon bios are ok or not?
I'm asking you because I have a dragon to go for sale and his gijinka has acessories, necklaces but no shirt. There's no nipples, and the figure is flat. Is this ok or not, and I have to change this?
Please let me know, I'd like to let it inside the terms of the site :)

@Aequorin Thanks! Ah sorry to ask again, english is not my first language. By doll you mean like a doll (a toy), or that the body should be flat or cartoony?

This is the image I want to ask. Is this acceptable?

Hello!
I hope I'm not being a bother, but as I recently ran into this problem, I thought I'd mention it:
Since the thread has been moved to Guides, the links attached to the end of the pinglists do not go to the thread anymore, but instead a 404 page.
