Hrmmm, my loners and hermits and wanderers of the wild... I think I could characterize Barrier as one. He originally joined the lair as a new mate for my custom progen Anisette, and while thy had many fine clutches of hatchlings together, eventually wanderlust struck him and he headed off, ending up in another lair for a while before returning home once I realized how much I missed him. He lived on his own for a while, then took a new mate for a while, and is now back to bachelorhood while waiting to retire to the promised lair storage as one of my keep-forevers. She seeks out quiet places on her endless migration, having few friends even among her own kind. She lives a simple life, owning only what she can carry and striving to live as simply as possible with few attachments to anyone or place. The one exception is her dear friend Moth. She will stop her travels and come to visit whenever the fancy strikes her, meaning that her path is less of the typical Snapper circle, and more of an intricate series of loops. Each time she visits she brings him some small gift and tells her stories. Moth of course spends the entire time she's away gathering things that he thinks are pleasing for her, filling up the lair he keeps with all manner of junk and clutter. She thanks him and then together they sort the hoard he's assembled and give as much of it away as they can before she sets off again. *If you want to know more about these two shoot me a message. I'm terribly fond of these two and have a whole bunch of lore about them despite their lack of biographies or stories in their 'information' sections. On some deep, instinctual level he knows that he has no true home. Though he has traveled to the Southern Icefield, there was no sense of belonging there. It has left him empty and strange, a certain madness taking hold. Others avoid him, sensing that there's something off about him, and he prefers this as he has done decidedly un-Tundra like things in an attempt to fill the void that he feels defines his life. Making his home in the crags along the border of the Scarred Wasteland and Dragonhome, he is a thing to be avoided. She does the best she can to maintain a small garden to grow what she can closer to home, but there are often times when she has to travel to the far reaches of the world to find rare plants. Her unerring sense of smell means that she can find what she's looking for, no matter how rare or well hidden, it's just the travel itself that's difficult.
