This is one of the most exciting parts, because the current legacies are finishing (well, fire has another generation to go), and that means the next pair is about to start, too!

My plague founder has been patiently waiting since the color-wheel update in June, and it looks like her first nest will hatch in December. I love how she came out! I'm not usually that fond of reds, but I really like his look. Much like the nature founder's consort, he doesn't offer a breed upgrade but he does offer genes I wouldn't mind seeing a lot of. Besides, it's plague, I've got to give it at least one chance to be mirrors instead of tundras! The good news is, Tua and Taura gave me a five egg nest! The less-good news: We're still marking time with ripple / peregrine / smoke tundras. Also, my naming scheme is having some issues, so I'm using island names for this generation, and the next will probably be named after volcanoes. How often does the RNG go in a strict alternation like that? (Don't answer that, it's probably not that unusual, it just struck me funny because I haven't seen it much.) The downside of the 5-egg nest is that as of the hatching, I have no space for Lanai's mate, so I'll update with my choice later. If I'd gotten any breed upgrades, I'd probably be trying for coatl now, but as it is I guess I'll be looking for a ridgeback. The upside of that is, with a little luck we could see the final heir by January! @Justdevon, are you still interested in hosting the final nest in a two or three weeks? With some reluctance, I have settled on this fellow as the mate. I really kind of hope the heir keeps the smoke, but I also really hope I get a breed upgrade. Also, do any of you beyond Leopardmask want to stay on the pinglist for other legacies? Moving on to the exciting part: the fire legacy ends with - at last, at [b]long [/b]last,[i] a breed upgrade![/i] I'm so excited. FINALLY! Ridgebacks at last! She is of course named after the famously active Hawaiian volcano. Her sister the spare ended up with the pink-range smoke I was afraid of when I chose their father, but really, it could have been worse (especially since it didn't happen to the heiress). She is named Hualalai (after another Hawaiian volcano). Basically, things went just incredibly well. I've got the final dragon in her place in the lair now, so I just have the last dragon sales/exalts to complete and then I'll have the final score!

Like the plague founder, she was hatched at the release of the new color wheel and has been patiently waiting (and/or pranking the daylights out of the other legacy dragons) ever since. She went on her first nest today. (It doesn't show up much against the speckle/freckle, but that's fine.) I'm still debating whether to spring for a scroll to rename her Myopia, to match her mate's eye-related name. It will depend on whether I decide to sell her or keep her for another project. Edit: Maia is sold, and not exalted yet after about a week - so good luck to her in her new lair!
