I hatched three nests. Because I could. And hopefully this way I'll clear a little space in time for my birthday event.
Spoilers: if you do NOT want to be pinged for lored G1s, speak now so I can mark you as not wanting a ping next week. I promise not to be offended, and you can have regular pings back when I hatch my next lore nest.

The sentries were displeased to find dragons calling for parley, and more than once they threatened Six and his envoy. But, managing a few broken words in harpy, Six drew out the inks and managed to convey that they wanted to trade. Or at least he hoped that's what he conveyed.
Anxiously following their escort, the three dragons made their way deeper into harpy territory, the full-bosomed avian creatures shuffling and squawking as some hurriedly pulled on masks and others launched into wheeling flight patterns to watch and yet remain nowhere near the ground.
Evergreen and Philo were silent behind Six, which he could only be grateful for. Who knew what the harpies would think of three dragons conversing under their breath as they were drawn deeper into the heart of the nests.
They stopped before they were fully in the middle. Somewhere in the distance, evidence of cliffside nests could be seen, the ratty straw dangling in the wind that whipped passed the heaps amid the stones. Six could barely make out movement among the nests. But it was there.
Then, their escorts pulled to a stop, and some tore away from the group. They flew off, shrieking, and a smaller group lighted before them. So many of the harpies looked the same, but this one wore gilded cuffs on its wings, and Sixten assumed it must be the chieftain.
The two stared at each other, this chieftain accompanied by its honor guard, and Six flanked by his own. Finally, Six dropped into a low bow, and he cleared his throat so that Evergreen and Philo would follow suit.
"We have come from the South bearing gifts for our neighbors," he said, though he knew his harpy grammar was terrible. He would be lucky if it was intelligible at all.
"We are not friends," the harpy returned in much better draconic than Six expected. "Our people are war. We do not gifts with dragon."
There was a great squawking and screeching that followed, the harpies gathered around screaming to echo their leader's words.
Six waited it out, and he did not raise his voice. He continued to speak his broken harpy in an effort to convey that he respected the flock enough to address them in their own tongue.
"My dragons know your harpies have come to our lands. We do not want war with harpies. Dead harpies do not help my dragons. Why do harpies come here?"
"Your dragons chase us!" the harpy shrieked, its wings fully extending and its head feathers standing on end in a show of rage and might. "You come say friends, but you dragons chase harpies! Many eggs empty!"
Six stared at this creature, trying to put together what it was trying to say. But before he could fully grasp its meaning, its wings tucked and it moved in a way as if to convey a secret.
"Great Talona many anger," the harpy hissed. "We find dragon egg, many many, but not so many as harpy egg. When good moon, many dragon eggs empty!"
Six stared at the harpy before him as all around them the bird-creatures shrieked "SMASH! SMASH! SMASH! SMASH!"
He stepped forward to find a set of spears in his face. "See here!" he yelped in draconic.
The harpy drew close enough for Six to see the carvings of eagle feathers and geometric motifs around the eye holes of its mask. "Great Talona many happy," the harpy hissed. "When good moon, we give her dragon eggs empty, and also dragons empty!"
A hair-raising scream echoed up from the gathered crowd.
Six turned towards Evergreen, but the whole flock seemed suddenly upon them. As the harpies descended on them, Six had enough time to regret being chosen to lead such a foolish expedition. And then the first spear pierced his flesh, and the world went blinding white with pain.
