xxxDelighting in trickery and prone to causing trouble, Wraith is usually the culprit behind most of the shenanigans that occur in the clan. These antics aren't done with the intent to harm—and indeed it's rare for things to escalate to such a degree—but rather done to keep things from becoming too monotonous. And if such behavior gives an unruly first impression, then that's all the better; as Wraith very much enjoys the advantage of being underestimated.
xxxWraith is one of the foremost of the many spirits that call this clan home, and one of the few who regularly leave the halls of the Citadel. When not causing a bit of lighthearted chaos within the village proper, Wraith can often be found on the outskirts of the clan's territory—lurking among shadows or dissipating into the wind whilst guarding the clan from dangers both mundane and ethereal.

xxxMany years ago a mischievous spirit haunted the fields and currents of the Windswept Plateau, leaving a trail of chaos and swirling eddies in their wake. The spirit was a being who was one with the wind, existing as a sentient extension of air around them but not quite an elemental. Though mostly harmless, this spirit still caught the attention of a traveler who investigated unusual phenomena and eventually the spirit found themself ensnared in the traveler's trap.

xxxThe traveler introduced themself as Mori and, to the spirit's surprise, released the spirit from the trap and offered a deal: cease these aimless hauntings and aid Mori's work, and in exchange be granted the ability to take corporeal form. Mori went on to explain that it involved a magically binding contract which had been developed with their absent companion Solace and tested on a spirit called Thanatos with great success. However to finish the contract, the spirit needed to provide a proper name to make the spell binding and so the spirit asked what Mori had referred to them as whilst tracking them down, to which Mori responded "the little wraith". Delighted, the spirit declared that that shall be their name and after some consideration found that they were also satisfied with the details of the contract. The newly dubbed Wraith then signed the contract with little trepidation and a great deal of intrigue. After a brief bit of time to adjust to being able to shift between their natural spirit form and a corporeal form, Wraith was soon traveling alongside Mori and their companions across Sornieth.

xxxAfter the founding of the village of Breezehaven, Wraith returned to their old habit of haunting the local countryside—but this time with the focused purpose of guarding the clan and deterring any undesired guests from entering the territory. Those who find themselves on the receiving end of Wraith's ire are met with shifting shadows, uncanny gusts of wind, and the ever eerie feeling of being watched until they are sensible enough to move along elsewhere.

xxxNevertheless, Breezehaven still allows many visitors entry, but even welcomed guests frequently report seeing spectral movement at the edge of their vision and curiously timed bursts of wind which send them stumbling off-balance. The locals—who have all long grown used to such antics—assure travelers that they needn't worry as these mysterious happenings are merely caused by a wind spirit who is having a bit of fun at their expense and that, though the little wraith can seldom be coaxed away from their hauntings, they really are quite benevolent unless provoked. Which is true enough, however few have actually seen the extent of Wraith's abilities and they intend to keep it that way; and besides, they are perfectly happy being a simple local spirit, shifting between corporeal and ethereal forms as easily as the wind can change direction whilst they wander the clan's streets and gardens.
