Sages are individuals who have delved deep into the secrets of their element and have come out with unique abilities and magic. Sages can be either born or taught, and there is only one for each Flight at a time.

Sages cannot perish from age, nor do they age past the point they attained sagehood. However, they can still pass from injury or disease.

Each sage usually keeps the company of one dragon, an envoy, to protect and serve them.
