my ideas:

-something that is basically stained but with different opacities and patterns so some parts have more opacity while others have less
-something to go with freckle/speckle to make ugly eye burners, like tons of spots but in an ugly way
-war paint
-maybe a plague-ish tert gene that makes for mutated/diseased looking dragons? Like it could be a baldwin gene
-an eye-burning gem version of crackle

fade, spirals, dots, stripes, glitter (glimmer for the entire body I guess), paint splatters, skeletons and also joker^

((and it would help match colors in many G1s))

I like to see a gene that changes the color of the spikes/mane so that they stand out more from the wings! Maybe it is technically a dun stripe, like a horse would have, and so technically would run from the base of the head to the tip of the tail, effecting all spines/main/feathers in its path! Perhaps something that would give dragons a face blaze and or four white socks like a horse too?
