Ultimately, dragons come in two sexes, so if you refer to them as sex emojis, not gender emojis, Boom problem solved.
(Friendly reminder that Sex refers to what bobbly bits you have and Gender refers to the role you play in society. A lot of Americans use the terms interchangeably, but they are such totally different concepts.)

Support! I don’t run a hatchery or have plans for lair tabs, but I could see male/female icons being very useful for both. :0
The circle for the symbols is too small for most other sex/gender icons, but I could also get behind a grey icon with a plain circle in the middle for a “neutral” icon. I know a lot of users have nonbinary or genderless dragons, so that would work for those.

The box is clunky enough already, in my opinion.

I'd definitely support sex emojis and maybe a neutral one, but genders/more than that would probably not work well, because of how many genders and opinions about them exist.
Plus you can totally just make your own and put it in the dragon's bio, nobody can stop you from doing that, and that might even take less time than looking through a potentially huge gallery, and would definitely cause less unnecessary drama.
I'd support these except no matter which additional ones they add, somebody is going to claim a symbol for their particular 'gender' was left out. If they only include male and female, there will be whining about that. THerefore the safe thing for the devs to do is add none of them which is what will likely happen.
