It was made of granite and marble, its trims and accents the finest of polished silver and gold... But that didn't compare at all to the treasures inside.
Books, for as far as the eye could see... Each and every genre was covered, every spine perfectly nested beside the next.
It was a place of peace, a place of learning that no matter the tribe, a dragon could show up and find what they were after... But like all good things, this too came to an end.
Princess Sabertooth, despite her mothers wishes, gave the gift of knowledge to the library. A book that would answer any question regarding anything... 'Did this dragon like me? Would they have dragonnets?' Fact, fiction, past, present, and future... All would be answered. Word spread, and with it, desire which turned to greed... And soon chaos came for the library.
As the earth itself shook, causing the library to fall into the ground as if it was trying to retreat from the conflict above. Most dragons tried to flee before all entrances were sealed off but few escaped...
The last words etched on the book's pages as it answered the bleeding librarians question was...
