Roleplay

Aidan opened his eyes - he didn't even realize they would be shut - and watched as the chamber that swallowed him open back up, releasing him. With some help, he managed to wiggle out and onto the lab floor, then nearly collapsed onto said floor the moment his legs bore his weight.

"Gah!" He exclaimed, grabbing onto the nearest chair for support, then began shakily relearning how to walk as a biped. Soon enough, though, he was back to where he was before. Not that that was any better. He took a breath to steady himself then straightened out his zip-up and ran a hand through his hair, snickering at the way the back of his head felt with messy hair going every which way they pleased.

With an assistant, he was escorted down the hallway painstakingly to the dining hall. Aidan stumbled along, frowning in concentration, and more than once the friendly assistant saved him from falling. Entering the hall, he looked around for familiar faces, then laughed at his own idiocy. He had only met the others in their avatars. Still, there appeared to only be a few people around, of which one was seated. He made his way over slowly and smiled, shy.

"Hi, I'm Aidan," he said, extending out a hand. He hated how it shaked so, and tried extra hard to hold it steady.

Alkamin turned around at the sound of a familiar voice. They announced themselves to be Aidan. So with a wide grin Alkamin got up and took his hand. Staring into their black eyes he greeted them back with a confident and friendly tone, “Heya pal! Nice ya finally meet ya in human form! Names Alkamin by the by! Anywho, would ya like ta sit with me? Also, don’t be so nervous! You look stunning like I thought you would be!”

Then Alkamin let go of Aidan’s hand and looked at them more closely. They had dark brown hair that was going every which way in the back. Causing Alkamin to chuckle a little since he knew where that was most likely from. Aidan was also fairly pale and thin. Looking more elegant like a girl than a boy, although Alkamin didn’t really care either way.

Instead he continued, “Ah, sorry about the chuckle, just seems you got a bit of a bed head from the chamber. Also, call me Alka, since I call you Snowy. Forgot to say that the first time. I was just too excited! Also, I truly do mean what I say when I say you are beautiful. Much like snow, even in this form.”

With that Alkamin sat back down. Tapping the seat next to him for Aidan to sit next to him.

"Oh!" Aidan yelped, surprised by Alkamin's fervor and enthusiasm. He felt flustered and smiled shyly as the other greeted him. "S-sure, yeah, that would be really nice," he said, still feeling nervous and jittery. He wasn't sure if the redhead was being overly generous about his looks, though. He knew he was pale, thin, and generally not a looker. His shakes and tremors didn't exactly help matters, either.

"Heya Alka, nice to meet you, too," he said in a soft voice, smiling. "Guess my avatar matches me in person. I'm glad nothing else carried over." He sat down next to his friend, "it's so nice to be able to move about freely once in a while. I might get addicted," he chuckled, scratching the back of his neck. He looked around, wondering if any of the others around were people he had met.

Alkamin was smiling and looked at Aidan for a few moment before turning away. Then the gears in his head started to turn again. Turning back to Aidan a question rose from him, “Wait... you can’t move freely under normal conditions? What’s wrong?” He was just genuinely curious and slightly concerned for his new friend.

Although, he was finally starting to get hungry but he could wait.

Shuffling in his seat, Aidan took a closer look at their surroundings. The mess hall definitely had all the qualities of feeling like a school cafeteria, but was far more organized and clean. The tables at least felt as if they'd been properly wiped down.

"Huh? Oh, I...just kinda suck at walking. And moving in general. Doctors didn't know what was going on, it was some nervous disorder or something. I shake a lot, and sometimes it feels like I'm not in control." He quirked a slight smile, "but my avatar is none of those things!"

Alkamin was about to say something when a girl with a skip in her step came on by. Introducing herself as Poppy. Alkamin had to think for a minute before he remembered the little dragon that had been by Aidan and had said those embarrassing things. He brought on a smile and went to introduce himself to confirm her suspicions but she was gone by the time he went to speak.

She came back a short while later with an absurd amount of food. Sitting down nearby she started to gobble the food down in a flash. Alkamin chuckled a little before saying, “Well... I’m sorry to hear that you have troubles walking, Snowy. I’m a bit hungry though, so do you want to go get something to eat with me?” He took a moment before turning to Poppy in remembrance, “Oh! And I’m Alkamin by the by. Nice to meet ya in this form Poppy! I was the furry red and black dragon.”

Then, he turned back to Aidan. Waiting for their reply with a smile.

(Sorry again, I’m dying a little.)

Aidan smiled, raising his hand in a wave, and about to say hi, but Poppy skipped right along for the food counter. "Huh, guess she's hungry, well, I suppose that's not surprising," he said, his stomach growling in tune. He watched with slowly widening eyes as she picked up more and more food, precariously balanced on her plate.

"Hungry, are we?" He asked with a smile, "I'm Aidan, or Snowy, whichever you want to call me by, but you knew that already." Turning towards Alka, he grinned wider, "I'd love to! I am starving." He laughed softly, "wonder if we'll have to learn how to hunt in our avatars. That'd be an experience I'm not willing to miss." Grasping to table's edge, he pulled himself up onto his feet, still a little unsteady.

Alkamin got up with easy and out stretched his hand for Aidan to hold if they so chose to for aid in balance or simply to do so. Once he was sure Aidan could follow though, he took the lead and went over to the counter. Grabbing a plate/tray in one hand before having to take his other hand and get enough for a person of his size and a little more than that. Satisfied with what he had he waited for Aidan to get their stuff before going back to the table.

Even offering, “I can carry the plate if you need any help.” He was smiling sweetly, he really only wanted to be kind and help out a friend if they needed it.
