Alkamin nodded to the other. Then, with a grin he stated, “Bring it on!” Jumping up from his spot he was ready to start running around again. He loved the sensation of his muscles at work after all. It allowed him to figure out how he will be fighting in this body. Then he thought of flight. Oh how amazing it would be to fly and explore these unknown lands. He was ready to get started. Heck, if he could, he would stay in the body for the rest of his living days.
For now he was simply standing in a ready stance to start running. His tail flicking in excitement. His whiskers also starting to lift from the ground in preparation.
(I don’t really wanna take control of Simone personally because I haven’t gotten a full grasp of her personality yet. Also, even though I remember a pretty good amount of the movie, this is a bit different and I don’t really have any confidence in being able to take control of Simone. Also it just feels weird to me, idk why.)

(Simone is an intructor with almost no patience. If she teaches you to swim, she just throws you in the pool and you either learn to swim fast or drown. That kind of person.)
Simone had everyone get into a line, and one at a time take off from the ground with no running start and fly in a circle around the enclosed area before landing in the same spot they took off from.
Poppy had some trouble taking off, but once she was off the ground the rest was easy. "Hey, I did it!" She crowed happily and swung her tail in a circle, almost hitting the dragon next to her.

In her eagerness to show off how much she had learned in the last few days, Ashiri severely underestimated the difficulty of talking off without a running start. It took her five tries to get into the air, however once she was in the air it was as though she had always belonged there, spinning and swirling around the grassy field. She almost didn't want to land, but after two laps around the area she decided she better come down before she got into trouble. Ashiri fluttered down to the ground, landing gently on the spot she had taken off from and curling her tail around her talons.

Aidan watched and shuffled his way in line. He was a little anxious about this new task - it looked pretty difficult, but he knew he ought to be able to do it. He watched as his companion from earlier took off with only a tad bit of awkwardness, keeping his eyes on her as she flew a lap around the area, then land with a smile on her snout. He had to jump out of the way of her overeager tail, but he could almost see the excitement bubbling off of her, and he couldn't help but smile in tune.
The next dragon in line didn't fare as well, but after a shaky start, she too completed the lap and landed without much trouble. Then, it was him. Aidan spread his wings and shifted his stance. He took in a deep breath and reared back onto his hind legs, leaping forwards and upwards towards the artificial sky. He beat his wings hard, feeling a somewhat familiar burn as he clawed his way up, then leveled out and flew over the landscape. The wind beneath his wings felt so detailed and intricate - every little breeze or eddy felt unparalleled. He almost wanted to stay up here in the air, but after the lap, he, too, landed. This time, though, it was much more graceful than his previous attempts.

Alkamin had practiced a few times in that confined room, however it had always been too small for him to properly fly. This would be the first time he would actually take flight. Knowing this he watched the others intently. Wanting to learn from them if he could. All of them were a bit clumsy at the beginning, which made him feel a bit better. Once the stunning icy blue dragon next to him had taken off then landed it was his turn. Seeing how every one else had done it he first asked for the others to move a little to give him a bit more space.
Once he had that space he stretched out his bruised wings carefully at first. It was strange to have muscles that weren’t normally there. Then he flexed them, then some more. It wasn’t long before he had a good feel for the muscles and they became one with the rest of him. So with that he finally tried to take off. Lightly pushing off the ground and bringing his wings down with a flap. He had succeeded slightly. Hovering off of the ground for a few moments before he lost his rhythm and lightly thumped on the ground again.
However, his eyes were shining and buzzing with new found excitement and energy. Now his smile turned into a wide grin and he lightly jumped up again. Pumping his wings in a steady rhythm. Hovering for a moment as he figured out the movement. Feeling every muscle in this new body. The chest and back muscles as they expanded and contracted. Felt how the muscles in his very wings tensed and relaxed with every stroke. It was tiring, hovering like that. So he pushed forward. Shooting into the air with a happy laugh. Feeling the air, the currents.
As he climbed he couldn’t help but love the sensation of his muscles working like they were. Then came the needed balance out and turn. The balancing out wasn’t too difficult once he lifted his body up more and figured out how to tilt his wings as he came to a nice altitude. Turning was a tad harder but his instincts came to him again and he finally figured that out too. Flapping and gliding around a few times before completing his lap. The gliding was a bit difficult because it was strange and foreign to have to angle his wings perfectly to catch the wind the right way. Causing him to awkwardly flap for a moment before trying again.
He was still a ways up so he did something reckless. He dove down, tucking his wings in and just letting himself fall nose first toward the ground. He waited and waited. Angling himself so he would land pretty much where his spot was in line. The. He got closer and closer, the wind whipping passed and whispering howls of warning to him as he fell. Then, once he felt it was right he opened his wings and angled his body to slow himself down. His landing was a tad rough with a near face plant into the ground at the end, but he managed. Sitting back down he could barely tuck his wings back to his sides.
Huffing from the effort he looked far too energetic for how he was breathing. He was smiling wildly. He wanted back up there, he wanted to fly more. It was such an exhilarating thing and oh how he just couldn’t wait to experience that tiring thing once more!
(Ah, I see. Thank you. Also I hope this is alright.)

Once he had landed, Aidan stumbled forwards, carving a deep furrow in the rather soft dirt from each of his legs. He laughed, full of joy as he tucked his wings back, their normal, relaxed pose feeling much more natural now than before. His whiskers began to curl as he did an odd hop, simply excited and giddy.
Looking up, he watched the progress of the next dragon in line. He followed the path of the red and black dragon and marveled at how easily he flew. He wondered if he had looked that way while he was up there, but however it may have appeared to others, he had relished every single moment, and regret not coming out here earlier.
He sucked in a breath as he saw the dragon tuck his wings back into a dive, falling towards the ground. Even from a distance he could see the red fur rippling from the force of the wind, the other's whiskers trailing like streamers, and then the red wings snapping open cleanly, right above him. The landing went pretty smoothly in his opinion given its high speed nature, and he bounded forwards to greet the other dragon.
"Why, that was rather daring!" He chirped as he walked up, "really impressive, too! I wish I had thought to try that." He couldn't help but notice the other's heavy breathing. Pulling off such a stunt must have been rather draining.

Alkamin turned to the stunningly gorgeous dragon. As they spoke they had a deeper voice than he was expecting. They looked delicate yet strong. He wondered if he was right to assume they were a guy from their tone. However, that thought left his mind easily once they commented on his actions. He smiled at then and laughed out, “Hahaha! I guess that was, wasn’t it?! *huff* Thanks! You were a stunning sight to see in the sky that was near a beautiful blue as you. My name is *huff* Alkamin Ninuki by the *huff* by. Call me Alkamin. Who, if I may be daring enough to *huff* ask, may you be?”
He continued to breath heavily for a few more moments before calming down. He could feel the aching in his wings. The itching in his fur, and the tingling in his claws, paws and whiskers. He was exhilarated, tired yes, but also bursting with energy. He couldn’t wait to go into the sky again.
(He be a Bi boy by the way. I don’t think I stated that. Wooh!)

Aidan greeted the other dragon cheerfully once he introduced himself. He had been taking in Alkamin's plumage, the colors far more vibrant to his draconic sight, and nary a single detail escaped his watchful gaze. He discreetly traced the markings adorning the other's scales and hide, marveling at the seamless transition from red, to black, to white. He finally looked back up, meeting Alkamin's gaze.
"B-beautiful blue-?" He echoed, stunned, but the other seemed not to notice his reddening cheeks. He dipped his head, trying to keep his snout in shadow, "why, thank you! It's rather icy looking, isn't it?" Looking at himself through a mirror earlier, his colors reminded him of an old film he watched when he was younger, something about an ice spitting dragon? "Reminds me of ice and snow, at least," he said with a chuckle. "I'm Aidan, but as you pointed out, Snowy probably is the better choice."
He couldn't help but smile and wonder who stood behind this avatar, he couldn't wait to meet Alkamin in person! But for the time being, Aidan was perfectly fine talking to the dragon before him. Said dragon's nearly overflowing energy also made himself more jumpy, making his wings spread out a touch in anticipation. For what, he wasn't sure, but he was itching to go flying.

Alkamin smiled back, “Nice ta meet ya Aidan! Or well... Snowy. That is a wonderful nickname for a wonderful person such as yourself! Also, what are you doing leaning down so far? Hehehe, you embarrassed~? But you really are a beautiful sight. And I bet you are just as amazing and gorgeous as you are in this form in your human form. So chin up, stand with pride! At least know that I am excited to meet you as a human. Also know that I like you as who you are, so hold yourself up with pride more!”
Puffing out his chest fur he gently lifted Aidan’s head up. There was a blush there. Alkamin smiled a blushing smile, though he wasn’t sure how obvious it was since he had red markings on his face. Even so his electric blue eyes sparkled with excitement and genuine companionship and admiration. Smiling nicely before bringing Aidan to stand straight. Laughing some more to keep away this burning sensation on his face. “See? You look amazing no matter what so don’t be embarrassed alright?”
Alkamin was quite happy to already have a... friend. Zoja was close to being one but not quite yet.
(Wooh! Wonderful Alkamin being a cute child. Adorableness continue!)

He couldn't help but smile back as Alkamin's voice resonated within his skull. The nickname had been a spur of the moment decision, but he began to grow into it with each passing moment. Aidan looked up at Alkamin as his head was lifted up with a gentle touch, making his flush even more deeply red.
Was it just him, or was Alkamin also blushing?
A fleeting sight, and it was gone, but Aidan let his restrained smile widen. He for one had never been on the receiving end of such praise. Wonderful. Beautiful. Amazing. Gorgeous. It was almost as if his avatar was everything he couldn't be as a human, and he relished the moment. A happy warmth spread through his body, prompting him to churr joyously, the low sound emanating from his chest and making him feel warm and fuzzy.
"Thank you, your praise is...I'm touched," he managed, curling his tail next to him. The boisterous laugh from his companion made him laugh in tune, "no embarrassment, gotcha!" He nudged Alkamin with a wingtip playfully in response, his whiskers rising from his excitement to make a new friend.
