Nacre smiled toothily as she embraced her pearl.
"Haha, true it's not light, so I try to avoid carrying it."
The pearl was actually larger than herself and instead of carrying it, instead climbed on top of it, moving it along by rolling it.

Another issue arose when the pearl came to the steps, but Nacre bumped it up each step with her horn.

"Thanks Yang," She was a bit breathless from the workout. "I feel a lot better now."

Nacre looked around. Nodded at Basil and began to move around the deck upon her pearl.

She figured the mirror dressed in a seaspray cap was the captain as she barked orders about. Nacre approached with what she hoped was a steely resolve, intent on getting answers.

"Are you perchance the Captain?"

With his begrudging work finally done he turns to skim over the deck, his index claw idly scratching into the deck with the assistance of the metal talon that decorated the tip of his gloved digits. His obscured sights settle on the Pearlcatcher and his pointed tongue rolls out from his maw, akin somewhat to an excited dog though without all the panting. The young Mirror begins in a stalking crawl, but it doesn't take him long before he suddenly decides to dash forward, a claw intent to grasp around the young Pearlcatcher's neck and pin them to the deck, likely sending the pearl she rolled around on rolling across the deck. He'd do all this just after she called out to the captain. Why did he do this? It's hard to say. The young Mirror had yet to speak a word and the only hint of his personality seemed to have been his unwillingness to pull his own weight and how he seemed to jump at the opportunity of showing his might, as small as he might be.

She had gone quiet as things settled, watching the surroundings with only a smidgen of attention paid to the loose dragons on deck. She did not seem to care where they went on board, as long as they weren't causing trouble for her. Briefly, she glanced skyward- up to the crow's nest at the top of the mast, before Nacre appeared beside her, rolling almost comically on the oversized pearl. Cirina scowled, disappointed that the precious sphere had been so quickly reacquainted with its owner. She didn't comment on that, however, and instead opened her jaw to answer the question- but was left unable to by Zahi's uncalled-for attack. She blinked, then smirked and waited to see how the scuffle would play out. The sun had finally set, just barely, and the sea around them glittered with the last traces of light. The captain adjusted their heading slightly, and they began to head right for a particular island off of the main territory, far enough to make flight from it difficult for most dragons. Haphazard docks and buildings stuck out from among the tropical trees and rocky cliffs, lanterns and torches glinting from the semi-distant silhouette. As they came nearer, other ships were noticeable, dotting the docks. None looked particularly friendly, all with similarly dark and tattered sails. This was clearly some kind of outlaw's outpost, a place of tentative safety for those who sought to avoid the peacekeepers of Sornieth. --- As their little ship drifted closer, a shape appeared up on the crow's nest, an obvious pair of leathery wings unfurled wide. The dim lantern light briefly showed off the rather bright mottled purple and leaf hues of those wings, until the dragon leaped off, and disappeared in the darkness.

Yang took note of the island in the distance, though her attention was soon brought ot bear on that mirror attacking Nacre. Considering the size difference between her and the mirror, she couldn’t really do anything significant but hope that she woukd be fine. The fact that the captain of the ship was approaching also did not help, as she moved to the port side of the main deck.

She did nothing but to get the paper safely into her hold without damaging its details. Her surprise was expressed from outstretched fins and wings - well, more of just one wing. One of them had a generous bite taken out of it, which was hardly a secret despite her sad attempts at normally keeping the wings shut tight and close. Regardless, it was a sight to see if any of the dragons aboard had caught it. This was unlikely, however, as they were all busy with their own worlds. Some retrieving missing items, others excited for the change in their life - or very upset by it. With a breath taken in, Petunia calmed her posture and rolled the map up again gently. Her fins lowered slightly as she looked towards the shore as it came to her eyes. For just a moment, she believed things were going well. Then Zahi was on the move again. Her head turned to follow what he was up to and her head fins lifted in a hurry. That little pearlcatcher was supposed to be bound, still. She didn't untie them, she wasn't told to so she wouldn't have. Dread filled the fae as she lowered her fins and form, perhaps if she were quiet and left Cirina's sights soon enough.. she wouldn't be blamed for this slip up. Her tail fixed the placement of her hat and glasses as she scooted away, claws too busy with practically hugging the map. "Her own fault." Petunia mumbled, despite the concern the situation called for.

It all happened so quickly!

She was left breathless as her pearl was sent spiraling from underneath her.
Fortunately, she had been prepared for an attack and narrowly missed a grasp around her neck.

It hurt.

A blood scratch was on her neck. The claws had still managed to grazed the surface.
Nacre was barley able to process that it had been a mirror that had attacked, an eerie black and blue one.

She wanted to run, but she didn't dare turn her back.

It was a fight then.

She channeled ice magic into her horn. Though it was small, several sharp icicles sprouted from the tip. She ducked her head and charged, aiming to stab underneath the mirror's chin. She hoped to use her smaller size to an advantage.

Zahi raised his head at the smaller dragon performing magic, it was an unexpected sights, one that he'd respond at with a snarl. His blatant size advantage would make overpowering the baby dragon relatively easy. He lifts and brings his claw down when she's entered his personal bubble, his metal clawed glove going to wrap around her neck and force her down against the deck, not giving the baby pearlcatccher the chance to jab him with her horn. If one claw managed to grasp her, his other front claw would move to assist, holding her down with both his front limb by the neck, likely making it hard to breath as he squeezed his pointed digits. Should he managed to subdue the little dragon, he'd then look up to the Mirror that captained the ship, his maw hanging open with his pointed tongue drooping out as he eagerly seeks her approval.

Basil shrieked at the sudden act of violence. He didn't know what was going on, but the orphanage told him that hurting dragons is a big no-no. He hid behind a barrel, not sure of what else to do. He still had no intention of leaving the ship, but the pirate mister suddenly became much scarier.

The clawed glove came down hard. She moved just as it was about to hit her neck and the glove landed onto her back instead, pinning her.

More claws moved to pin her neck, but she anticipated this--it was hardly her first fight again someone larger than her.

Her magic moved from her horn to her muzzle and a burst of intense freezing breath was aimed at the arms and belly of the attacker.

The longer the smaller dragon breathed the thicker the coating got, hindering the dragons movement by the moment. It's a good thing the Mirror already had a grip on the Pearlcatcher as he chose to endure her magical assault, and choose to try and drop his weight on top of her with his claws still pinning her down. If all went well the tiny dragon would experience the weight of the Mirror and the ice coating that was making movement for his front half very difficult. He'd ensure she was pinned under his body, but at the cost of experiencing potential frost bite, the ice coating painfully stinging his body and making him hiss and growl in anguish. His position also didn't quite stop the dragon from continuing her magic breath, it just meant she wouldn't be moving anywhere unless she could physically get the dragon off.
