(( @AlexandraKK should Oakwhisker have been his apprentice then?? ))

Oakwhisker followed hot on Whitebelly's tail, observing the older male's thoughtful expression as they trotted along. He wondered briefly to himself if Whitebelly would teach him something today, it seemed the tom had an unlimited amount of things to learn from his superior, and he was always on his toes to learn. He'd even begun to teach the basics of Whitebelly's own teachings to his younger sister, Dragonpaw, who was a bit impatient in comparison to himself, but always eager. He watched through the undergrowth as they moved, wondering if there were any other of his clanmates out here as well, before letting it fall from his mind when he caught no familiar scents on the air.

@Eggbeans

Frostedleaf woke up very late that day, she'd lost a lot of energy the night before by staying out later than she normally would have to seek out herb patches and count the regrowing buds and sprouts after the harsh Leafbare. While most herbs were growing back strong, she had noticed certain ones diminishing and it worried her- enough for her to pick out any nearby weeds or intense overgrowth so that the herbs would have less trouble. It was necessary that come later in Newleaf she replenish the herb stores. When she awoke, the first thing she noticed was the absence of her apprentice, Fawnpaw. As she stood and stretched, she was very quickly made aware of how late in the day she had awoken. Calmly, she walked towards the stores, following the scent of her apprentice, and finding her enraptured with one of the recently replenished herbs she'd gotten the other day. Her tail tip flicked in amusement as she licked her maw. "That's Catmint, if you were wondering, Fawnpaw." She approached the apprentice slowly, taking her time as she was still stiff from her long sleep. "That is the herb used to treat Greencough and Whitecough." She supplied her information, observing her apprentice.

(( @kersom it looks like some goodnatured rivalry between Foxtail and Dragonpaw might be evident in this one, should be interesting ))

Miststep tentatively stepped back into camp, a large sparrow hanging from her jaws. She had gone hunting early that morning before the sun even rose. The camp was alive now that the sun was up, cats scurried around the area, warriors walked around, sharing tongues, and patrols set out to mark the borders. Everyone was going through their usual routines. Miststep shook her head as she reached the Fresh-Kill pile, empty since no hunting patrols had returned with prey yet. She slowly set the sparrow down, turning to go get a mouse she left just outside of camp. Suddenly a reddish orange cat shot out of nowhere, tripping her.
"Come back here you little mouse-brain!" He yowled, rushing forwards.
"Foxtail what the heck?!" Miststep growled, making him skid to a stop. She usually never spoke louder than a simple mew, so this caught a couple cats off guard.
"Sorry Miststep, there was this butterfly and it was all like 'Oh Foxtail! You wanna wake up the one day you don't have dawn patrol?' And I was all like; 'Oh you want to become my morning me-"
"Ok, ok.." Miststep muttered, she quickly dashed out of camp, avoiding as many other cats as she could as she ran.

((@Adamented maybe he could become Dragonpaw's mentor since you mentioned earlier that she didn't have one, that would definitely be interesting, a short-tempered apprentice that's probably more mature than her mentor..))

((@Adamented Sure! I don't see why not :D))

Once Whitebelly made it to his destination, he sat down and finally looked to see if Oakwhisker had followed him. Seeing that Oakwhisker had, Whitebelly examined the vegetation around him, formulating today's hunting plan. After a few moments of thinking he decided that the two of them were going to use the trees to their advantage and catch a bird. He returned to Earth and communicated his plan to Oakwhisker. He didn't mention that this was his first time attempting this dual technique, for that was how they usually hunted when they went out together and he assumed that Oakwhisker already knew it. There were many fails, but the two had always kept at it until they perfected Whitebelly's new techniques.

"Okay, here's the plan. You're going to sit up in that tree over there." He pointed with his nose. "I'm going to sit at that tree over there. There is a nest of birds in one of the branches and I'm going to startle one of the adults over to you. If this works, the bird won't see you and fly towards your direction. You're going to snatch it's wing out of the air with your paw, bring it towards your mouth and give it the killing bite. Got it?"

((Hey @lilMama, Snaketongue is still awaiting Northtail's response :) ))
