No worries, I figured it was because of Thanksgiving. I'll just go ahead with the last two dergs then.
As the festival wound to a close, the clan returned to the rockbreaking stall.
"We're back!" Shurhuq announced. "Two of our new friends wanted to have a go, too. Are we still in time?"
Throne smiled brightly at Sing and stepped forward. "I wish I'd come earlier, there is so much to see! I'm not much for strength but I'd like to try this game too. Is it very hard?"
"It's harder than it looks," Shurhuq said.
"It's easy," Tlaloc said. "You don't even need a hammer, just hit the rock with your head!"
Throne looked at all the rocks. "I think I'll use a hammer, if it's all the same for you." She gave Sing another smile. "This one, I think," she added, selecting a dainty-looking tool, but which looked sturdy enough. "I'm ready!"
After Throne had collected her prize, Altair approached the stall owner.
"I'll be going next, if I may," he said with a short bow. "It's very nice of the Earth flight to organize so many games and entertainment for everyone, I had a lot of fun and I'm happy I got to play. If you're ever in the wind steppes we'd love to have you over..."
Sourleaf motioned for him to get a move on. "Just shut up and hit the blasted rock already, they'll be wanting to close up and go home," he said, but despite the sharpness of his tone there was a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. He had a fondness for the younger dragon.
"All right," Altair said, rolling his eyes.
"Before we go, do you want to try the treasure hunt?" Banana asked.
There was a resounding chorus of "yes!" aside from Ihuicatl who looked less than pleased.
"I thought you said that we were saving up our treasure," she pouted, though really it was because she didn't want to dig for treasure in the earth because she would get dirty.
Banana grinned. "Yes, but think about the prizes that we could win!" she said. She had saved up on the side so the ticket to the treasure hunt would be a surprise. A very well-received surprise, it turned out, as the dragons almost stampeded towards the stall. She almost regretted not playing earlier, now they'd only have time for one round before it was time to go.

Banana pushed a small pile of treasure towards the female Ridgeback running the stall. "We'd like to dig for treasure. In... uhm... guys, where do we want to dig?"
There was a quick confabulation.
"The Earth flight is hosting the festival, so E...
E3," Shurhuq said with authority.
The others nodded.
"And if that's already taken, then E1," said Tlaloc. "Or E2. They all start with E so they're all good."
"I can't see very well what's going on," Shurhuq said, looking at the playing field marked off with twigs. Several teams were already at work digging holes and the dust made it difficult to see which squares had already been dug up. "Maybe those are already taken."
"In that case, what about H2? H, like in Happy Rockbreaker's Festival," said Mistral. "Or F2. F like in Festival," he added.
"I think those are enough choices," Banana said with a small laugh. "Sorry," she told Indiana, "they're just excited to start playing..."
