Within the expanses of the Wandering Contagion, underlings of the Plaguemother have been sent out on recent research expeditions, tasked with finding that which is destined to survive. There are strains of disease even her most devout followers would cower away from, yet there are signs of life festering even within the deepest pools of the Wyrmwound. Some of the couriers of the Plaguebringer tasked with finding and cataloging these creatures have found their way into well-known lairs of the Plague Flight, discussing and planning with researchers and scientists who have dedicated many decades of their life into research on these ornate and curious creatures. Many of these creatures have been identified, though it will take some time to categorize and catalog them in the ever-expanding tomes on the subject. Analyzing these creatures is an arduous task, and thus Plaguemother has request volunteers from all over Sorneith to assist her. Plague or otherwise, a helping hand in research is always welcome.

The horned rattlesnake is also known as the sidewinder because of its unique method of movement. Instead of slithering straight forward, as most snakes do, Crotalus cerastes and other desert snakes wiggle sideways! This adaption is thought to help them move quickly across the loose sand, and minimize contact with the hot surface. Coarse, damp sloth fur is an ideal environment for a lot of organisms. In particular, some species of sloths have a symbiotic relationship with an algae, which gives their fur a green tinge that is believed to help them camouflage in their forest home.
