Sorry if mine is too late as well, honestly I forgot to come back and check out this event until Firoz mentioned it on The Pelican post haha. Could I be added to the daily ping? @Sylvidoptera Alyssa was...skeptical, to say the least, when she heard rumors about this banescale with the Tidelord's coloring. This wasn't the first time she had heard dragons talking about the Tidelord being reborn among some group or another, and she had never been especially religious anyway. But although she wasn't devote to the deities, she was to the clinking of coin, and the rumors about this one were widespread enough that she could smell treasure to be made. And she'd be damned if she let some haughty member of Zinapluvia's Temple of the Tidelord profit off of this before she could. Perhaps it wasn't wise to leave her crew alone with the ship for too long, but it had to be better than trusting those idiots with a matter like this. A beautiful view and a crowd of restless, distracted dragons? No way they wouldn't cause trouble. Besides that it was Wavecrest Saturnalia, the time for parties and trading and pick-pocketing, so it wouldn't have been easy to convince any of her crew to join her on a wild roc chase instead. As tempting as it was to sneak into the cliff that the two came out of and see what loot she could find, Alyssa decided instead to swim the warm waters of the bay, intending to scout for a place to call her ship to dock in case this all somehow went south, despite the apparently positive attitude of the crowd.

Alyssa was...skeptical, to say the least, when she heard rumors about this banescale with the Tidelord's coloring. As tempting as it was to sneak into the cliff that the two came out of and see what loot she could find, Alyssa decided instead to swim the warm waters of the bay, intending to scout for a place to call her ship to dock in case this all somehow went south, despite the apparently positive attitude of the crowd.

Can I please be added to the pinglist? When he had heard of a dragon in his native homeland of water having the same coloring of the Tidelord he had decided it was now or never to begin his journey. When he arrived and upon hearing of the adventure he felt indifferent. He supposed that maybe, after all this time, the realm of water no longer held any importance to him. But still.... he did mean to find his charge and an adventure may be what he needed. On the other hand, his family.... his mate and children.... could he really abandon them like that? His mind wandered between the two choices when he suddenly noticed the water. It had be so long since he had played in those waters when he was but a hatchling. He decided to have a refreshing swim in the warm waters of the bay while making a decision. Hopefully he would make the right choice.

Day 2: Everyone is startled out of their contemplations by an abrupt, splash-filled surfacing of a creature in the water. As your head swivels around toward the noise, you see a spiral dragon swimming up from the deep part of the bay up to the beach. Once she gets out of the waves to greet your two hosts warmly, you notice with awe that her eyes are still swirling with water. After a moment of talk, the three dragons make their way back to you. The spiral looks you and the others over curiously. "So these are the adventurers we heard of, hmm? Well, let's see who's going along with!" Twisting idly in the sand, she smiles. "I'm Teyris, and I'll be going along to help keep my friends out of trouble. Those of you going, step forward!" Having made your decision, you step up with several others. As if they knew how many volunteers there would be, the three dragons began handing out amulets to any who were not able to spend a lot of time underwater without help. "These will help you breathe underwater. The glimpses we've had indicate there's going to be a lot of time spent wet." Pungi grinned at the startled laughs that drew from some. "Don't worry, I promise our amulet maker is the best. You'll be fine." Seneschal steps forward. "The tome that was found by one of our new companions," he nods respectfully to you, "indicates that we need to follow a specific current. Luckily Teyris has a very good idea which one the clues indicate. So if you'll all put on your amulets and follow us?" Gulping nervously, you prepare yourself and follow the three guides into the water. With only a few initial, minor mishaps the group gets into a rhythm and manages to keep close behind the spiral. When the current is reached, you brace yourself and let it pull you in. A wild, racing ride later in which you're not sure which way is up, you find yourself surfacing with the others - some of them sputtering wildly, never having been on a ride anything like that on land - in a calm pool. You're confused for a moment, as the current had led the group deep into the ocean, but then you realize it must be an underwater cavern. As everyone starts pulling themselves up and out of the pool onto a polished rock floor, you look around curiously. The cavern walls are strangely smooth... not just water-worn, but as if this chamber had been carved by hands instead of the waves. Pictures on the walls are illuminated somehow, and you're not sure where the light is coming from. Several alcoves are dug into the rock in one area, but they're too far from where you are at the moment to make out what might be in them. In addition, there is a large stone object that looks as if it could be some sort of crypt or altar. While you stretch and catch your breath, what would you like to do? ...take a look at the pictures on the walls and perhaps figure out where the light is coming from? ...figure out what is in the alcoves? ...examine the stone object? ...swim around the edges of the pool before you get out to see if you can find anything in the water?

Talva eagerly puts on her amulet, while Prism is more hesitant. They both dive into the water, breathing deeply, as if the water is fresh air, with her bicorn whale following them. The current ride was a first time. After arriving in the underwater tavern, they decided to split, Talva swims around the edges of the pool before she gets out to see if she can find anything in the water, while Prism examines the pictures on the walls and perhaps figure out where the light is coming from.

They ran clear, though they flowed into the cracks. A proposition of adventure, and excitement. She squinted, as she saw a shape in the rippling fluid. A vision? As she leaned closer, a splash of water landed on her face. The little Fae frolicked in the tide pools, sunning himself, frolicking with the beasts of the water. Ebi smiled, relishing the sweetness of the scene before her. Some good things could only be seen in the present. As the guide beckoned the group forth, Ebi readied herself to delve down beneath the waves. Sensing the pulsing of the currents and slipstreams beneath the ocean's surface, she ventured forward. Down, down into waters once again. The cool feeling on her scales was comforting in its familiarity. She could see far in the dark, her eyes adjusting to the conditions of the deep. A school of fish over there, and glowing, colourful coral beneath her. It had been a while since she had delved so far, to an unfamiliar home. Bynna heaves herself out of the water, panting. She loves swimming but oh, that current was strong and it made her head feel dizzy. She slowly clambers to her feet and shakes water out of her ears, craning her neck to see what's in the alcoves of the cavern, sliding her claws over the smooth walls as she walks around the perimeter.
