[b]Entry Description:[/b] This is a French holiday cake made to look like a Christmas log, or usually known as a yule log. The one I made has mushrooms made out of meringue and bark out of almond chocolate ganache. The cake inside is rolled to have a swirl with cocoa buttercream filling and vanilla chiffon cake. It's all made from scratch and is very light and fluffy. Decorated with cut pistachios and almonds, it is a great centerpiece for any meal, and a delicious one too.

[b]Entry Description:[/b] French Silk Pie isn't actually French in origin, it's American and was made in the 50's when ice box pies started to be a thing. The silk part is spot on though because the filling is smooth an velvety and very rich. Love this pie a lot since even though it looks heavy, it melts in your mouth. A favorite Christmas treat.
