This day is always one of my favorites; there’s nothing in comparison to a good seafood ensemble; and that has [i]no[/i] bias on the fact it is my favorite staple, none at all!"[/color] Geyser offers the crowd a handsome wink as it was no lie that the Imperial preferred the cuisine of the sea! ----- [center][font=cambria][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=69802417][img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/698025/69802417_350.png[/img][/url] There was little to excite an eldritch being such as Mykonos, but having been on land longer than he ever had before, seeing and smelling the fish, the remnants of the brine, the salt from the sea...He closed his eyes and sniffed deeply, his fins fluttering before he opened his eyes, multiple pairs opening at once before quickly disappearing. Ready to begin, Mykonos first gathered an ancient tablet he'd brought with him, the faint markings and glyphs of an unknown, but dark language known only to those of his kind, those of earlier, more sinister eras. Running his claws over the tablet, the runes and markings began to glow while Mykonos set his many delectable seafood dishes upon it, which now morphed and gleamed with a slight pearlescent sheen. First he set a sampling of expertly cut raw fish of strange hues of blues and greens, before setting then a sampling of a seared fish that was drizzled with a sauce with a bite to it. And lastly, he made some squid and octopus risotto which rested in a large pot that had the same markings upon the outside of the pot as the tablet did. She was hoping this would help to take her competitor Mykonos by surprise - after all, Bogsneaks didn't eat seafood! Her travels had lead her both to the Southern Icefield and a Summer of Apprenticeship on the ever-floating Flotsam Town, one which she recalled with a smile. She set the jar that the dear coatl had accidentally offered her - or so she hoped - of slime on the counter as motivation to be more than what she appeared - to be more than just a plague dragon in this competition, and worked to prepare a rotisserie of marlin with a crispy, tasty skin of scales stuffed with a pureed featherduster sauce that had chopped jalapenos and a rich highland cheese added to it for that kick of flavor that completed the dish as a whole. In fact, her whole dish was the only one that, for once, did not obtain [b]any[/b] slime - a first in Geyser's record! But as she swirled one of her claws in a pot of strange spices ground down, her grin grew wider in thought. Her tongue flicking out in her sinister grin, she rummaged through her multitude of old, worn-down bags, before she took out multiple bundles of herbs, and a few vials of some type of unknown liquid. Gathering a fish that certainly looked more monster than fish, she gutted and cleaned it before flaying it open and cutting out the meat, but cleaned the carcass and shaped it into a bowl. Taking twine she tied it to look like some rustic, but horrific, bowl. Throwing the fish, the dried spices she had mused with moments before, and the many bundles of herbs, some onions, garlic, and root vegetables, she only added the various liquids towards the end, her usual mutterings and sing-song murmurings the only sounds she made beyond what the soft bubbling made from her cauldron. Eventually dishing out the stew (of course it was stew...) in the angler-fish bowl, Babayaga then finished the bread she had been making in the meantime and sliced it, drizzling it with more spices and an olive oil that had an odd...purple sheen to it. Alas, I am surprised, which is such a gift, of the flavors Babayaga was able to produce with this magnificent, flavorful dish! [color=darkred] It was a close call, though, as for a brief moment I was sure Mykonos had the lead! The games go on, however, and, while third, Rosita, I am deeply thankful for your creation.
