"You're fine! You're just fine! No worries — I hadn't even noticed, I was so caught up in my own baking..." Cheese Baby leaned over to one side to examine the baking station the distressed Spiral had come from — and the cake that sat upon it. It was indeed quite similar — both layer cakes, with the outside made to look like bark and the frosting made to look like foliage — but Crème Brûlée had cut a large slice out, and inside she could see that the cake was... glowing? How mystifying. She adjusted her position to look back at Dulcibella. "Even if the base concept is similar there are definitely some notable differences — like how yours is [i]glowing![/i] That's so cool, I don't think I would've thought of that. And like you said, my cherry crystals! Thank you about those, by the way, I thought they were quite clever myself." - - - @treesapperson [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=80410394][img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/804104/80410394.png[/img][/url] Cheese Baby lightly stomped her feet against her baking station in delight at the compliment. "Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it!" - - - aa that is so adorable!! i absolutely love it :D could i put it in her bio, with credit to him for the art and you for Rat? (who i also love, by the way, his name alone is just perfect) and any time, i love roleplaying - this event was a delight ^^

And thanks about the cake, too; I wish I was good at magic so I'd be able to make it glow for real, but the food coloring did the trick! Would you like to try a slice? And I'd love to try yours too, of course, if you don't mind!»

I'll get you your slice right now..." Cheese Baby stepped away for a moment to gather a plate, a fork, and a knife, and returned to cut a decently-sized slice of cake for Dulcibella. She proudly held it out to her. "Here you go! I hope you like it."

She zooms through the workbenches and is back just in time to hand Cheese Baby her slice, and accept the plate offered to her. «Thanks so much! I'm so excited to try this.» The cake is delicious and the buttercream frosting is perfectly fluffy, not heavy at all! But it's the cherry and chocolate that are the true stars of the show. «It's really good,» she says, gesturing to the cake with her fork, «and so different from mine, in a good way of course! The cherries and chocolate make all the difference, and it's such a good combination. I think you did an incredible job!» [i]Now this[/i], she thinks as she happily shovels another forkful of cake into her mouth, [i]is the true spirit of the competition![/i] ----- (it's late and i'll be going to bed now, sorry about that! i'll reply tomorrow, or you can feel free to wrap this up as you wish :> thank you for hanging out with Dulcibella!)

And once she did, her tail thumped against the countertop in enthusiasm. "Thank you so much! I'm really glad you like it — it was so much fun to bake..." She trailed off to allow herself to pop her slice of cake into her mouth. Cheese Baby chewed for a good while, pausing once when she was almost finished to stick her tongue out and giggle at the glow, and finally swallowed and spread her wings out happily. "Yours is super good too! I [i]love[/i] the frosting, and the cake itself is just — mm! Delicious." She wagged her tail — the wag soon encompassing her entire body — and watched with pride as Dulcibella enjoyed her bake. - - - that's just fine, have a good sleep! and any time! ^^

She dished up some small plates with parts of her showstopper and started making the rounds. She wanted a chance to check out and taste all the other showstoppers. They all looked so amazing ans she bet they all tasted even better. They've well and truly missed the grand finale, but they had fun this week and enjoy checking out the other contestants' wonderful creations.[/columns]

He barely breathed as they compliment the cake's themed decoration, his frills raised in a cautious hope. Ausket's crest frills slowly fell as Crème Brûlée made their first, clearly disappointed, comments after tasting the cake. They seemed to catch themselves only too late and try to find constructive criticism to add, and parting compliments, but Ausket had heard the disappointment clearly in their opening comments. He managed to stay on his feet long enough for them to move to the next baker before he shakily let out his breath and slumped to the ground, tears in his eyes. Thoroughly crushed, he curled up next to his cake, and waited for the judging to be done. He'd probably be ok tomorrow, but for today, it hurt. He'd put a lot of love into that cake.
