I'm actually a day late because I was preparing to switch flights - hello again Arcane! - and I needed to have my nests cleared. But we're still doing better than a 4 month wait lol so that's something. Eagle-eyed folk may notice that Coral's tert seems to have changed. I've given her Veined instead of Runes because of the rarity changes, obviously I don't want to be set back an entire step in this challenge! While Smirch definitely would have been cheaper, I figure it'll take a bit to get an upgrade and I'd rather get a gene I like the look of more See you all in 5 days for hatching!

Hopefully they somehow give us a coherent hatchling so I can start narrowing down this line's colour scheme as well. It might be nice to do something with warmer tones... I had actually originally picked her brother Porthos to be the heir, but I ended up finding a mate for Athos I liked better, especially since she's a 1-off XXY, so she ended up being the lucky one. Obviously we've found our colour scheme, I'm actually quite pleased with it. And after Khucho has been bred, could I get him if you're not planning on keeping him? He's beautiful. If you're keeping him, no worries! Thought I'd ask.

I bet y'all thought I'd forgotten again! But no, I remembered about these guys, and today is a very exciting day because I'm skipping over the nesting update to go straight to the hatchlings! Woo-hoo! First up is the true line, who had 2 eggs. They gave us some fun chaos babies, but zero upgrades yet again. Given it's September, I went with a back-to-school theme for their names this time around. First up, the heir, Backpack! [center][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/89031614][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/890317/89031614_350.png[/img][/url] Orange Pharaoh | Peacock Patched | Cherry Firefly[/center] This gal is just all sorts of colours. Her brother Pencil definitely got the nicer tones, but I kind of want to keep the Pharaoh gene for a while, so Backpack was the winner. And here's their breeding card! This pair is trending towards the warmer, earthy tones, which I'm not objecting to, but we still have an element of chaos for fun. Nice and tight colours, since we only have 2 upgrades left to pick up. To be fair, that could take another 3 years, but here's hoping we get lucky! I might do something like this one of these days, except if there's no upgrade in the next generation, I sell them all and try again with the same couple. Might take longer cos of cooldowns, or it might take less time cos every generation is an upgrade.

Hello everyone! I'm sure you've been getting a lot of these pings these past few days, and here's another one!

So first off, I know I'm overdue to breed my pairs, I promise I haven't forgotten this time around. I've just been hosting a lot of nest rentals recently and getting ready for AvsL so I haven't had time to pull these guys out of the hibden to breed yet. Hopefully I'll get the chance soon.

But of course, as I'm sure you're all aware, we have new pinglist functions! I've created a pinglist widget, which I'll link below, as well as on the Pinglist post itself. If you're still interested in joining me on this crazy adventure, I encourage you to subscribe to the new pinglist. Assuming mass pings aren't sunsetted by my next update (although technically this pinglist is short enough it should still work even with the new rules), I'll probably use both the old and new pinglist methods for the next post or two, and then going forward I'll exclusively be using the site-based pinglist.

Would someone please point us to a good breed/gene rarity guide, so anyone who wants to start a challenge can refer to it? Thanks!

@Moondragon007 there's actually a few resources you can use for the challenge!

There's the Gene Guide in the Ecyclopedia that lists gene rarities, that was recently updated. And then there's this thread on the forums that I've been using since the beginning. It's very comprehensive, and updates regularly whenever there's a new gene.

Working towards an XXX dragon at the same time would definitely add a new twist to the challenge! If you do end up doing your own challenge, please add me to the pinglist! I love seeing how these go!
