All three of these kids turned out really nice, and I'm super stoked for this next generation :D I ended up going with a shellfish naming scheme. Here's the heir, Oyster! Look at him, he's so cute! Not a whit of peregrine or lace on this kid. Instead, he gets to be nice and matchy with giraffe, hex, and capsule! She two ended up with two upgrades - bogsneak and hex! If only she'd gotten that third upgrade... I actually like her more than Oyster, but I'd rather completely eradicate peregrine and lace. Plus we're still far enough away from the last generation that I'm not too fussed about colors other than trying to get to a pink primary. He really wants to match with his siblings, considering he has Clam's primary and Oyster's secondary. Honestly, this whole batch makes for a really cute family; if only I wasn't doing this challenge! Ah well, that's what this thread is for. As for upgrades, he only got the tertiary upgrade. Normally I wouldn't pick double or triple, but I thought she fit really well with the shellfish theme. Plus, pearl is the perfect color to give a shot at pink without yoinking us back into the white range. The other thing special about her is that she's the first mate with a gem gene! We're poking the RNGesus bear now. The naming theme this round is things that are luckyl First up is the heir, Horseshoe! I really like his colors, he's super pretty. Pearl is one of my favorite colors, even if he's not pink-pink like I would've hoped. Otherwise, he's not terribly remarkable. I couldn't tell you off the top of my head exactly how many gems the last gen went for, but it was definitely more than the usual.
