Zelen rolls her eyes. "Morion, don't listen to him, he's just trying to distract you." She gestures to the Artifracture board, but her efforts to bring his head back into the game are useless now that Morion is faced with the prospect of treasure. The little Bogsneak grins. Oh, the riches this ship could hold! He's always up for a challenge and this sounds exciting. "Don't worry, I've got this under control," he quips, swiping the board with his hand to render the results meaningless. Morion then reaches out again, extending his hand to Gregory this time. "Challenge accepted!" He declares, wrapping the Spiral's considerably smaller claws in a firm handshake. ~~ "You know, you really didn't have to come along," Morion complained as they reached the edge of the platform facing the Heartred Croaker. "Are you kidding me? Who's the one that had to dig you out when you were drowning in the vault last week? If you can have a brush with death within the confines of our own clan then there's no way I'm letting you go alone on a gods-forsaken pirate ship." Zelen stomped her foot, frustrated by her reckless friend. Morion scoffed. "I can look after myself just fine! But since you insist, do try to keep up," and with that he launched off the Cloudsong towards the ship. Zelen wasted no time in following him. The little dragons soar alongside the bottom of the ship to keep from being spotted, attempting to locate potential entrances. It wasn't long before Morion beckoned his friend over to a window. Many sets of armour and countless weapon racks could be seen through the glass, as well as a few cannonballs stacked in one corner. "Look, I don't think this is-" Zelen began protesting, but before she knew it Morion had popped the lock on the window. "Now or never," he grinned and jumped into the ship. Zelen sighed and passed a hand over her face. "Well, here goes nothing," she mumbled.

She was so used to adjusting her behavior to suit her present company that playing with hatchings could get her into the most ridiculous of trouble. Especially with mischievous wind spiral hatchlings. Well, she wasn't about back down from a dare after saying yes. And if young Gegory wanted to do something foolish, it was just as well that she went, who had some battle training behind her, and not the schemer himself. The mirror crouched among kite-building materials with the great sky ship in sight, reluctant to take flight until she knew where she was headed. Minstrel could see open windows leading to a kitchen and armory, and an escape hatch around where the engine should be. Three options. Without knowing the routine of the crew however, she found it hard to judge which entrances might be safer than the others. Why not leave it to chance? Going with the wind had served her well enough in the past. The mirror took a pinwheel from the pile beside her and began to carefully loosen three of the prongs. She mentally labeled one the engine room, one the kitchen and one the armory. Whichever blew off first would be her destination. Drawing on her breath, she took a deep breath and blew onto the pinwheel with just a touch of wind magic. The kitchen prong was thrown off of the frame, soon followed by its two counterparts. She stood up and launched herself toward the kitchen window.

The airship's armory is surprisingly empty. The weapon racks are empty of everything but one broken, rusty sword. You consider grabbing it, but you know already Gregory would not consider it “treasure.” There is a pile of cannonballs, but you don’t think you can lift one. Even if you can, again, it’s not really treasure. There are a few cannons here and there. One of those would be cool if you could somehow drag one out of the ship, but you see no way to budge them. He tried to move one of them, but gave up after only moving it an inch. His disappointment quickly vanished when he saw a treasure chest. "Jackpot." His paws tremble as he lifts the top, expecting to see piles of gold and gems. "That was anticlimactic," he stated. There were piles, not of gold and gems, but of dust. Eikre's head snapped to the door as he heard approaching footfalls. Not wanted to risk moving around much, he decided to hide in the treasure chest.

That was not as planned. His head swivels around, surveying his mechanical, clanking surroundings. He could hide in the toolbox, or maybe squeeze inbetween the gears, he certainly was small enough to do so. No, that'd be too obvious. The most common hiding spots would be the first to be investigated. He had to do something...unexpected. Detecting the stray pipes on the ground an idea flashed in his mind. He grabbed them, and hoisted them up, positioning himself with the shifting machinery. "click, click, whirrr" he purred, imitating the mechanics around him. Yes, this would work. They wouldn't expect him to become part of the engine itself!

A loud clatter rang out as Morion's tail hit an old, rusty sword, knocking it over. "Would it kill you to employ a bit of delicacy?!" Zelen hissed. "The more noise you make, the easier it'll be for them to notice something's not right!" Morion looked sheepishly over his shoulder at the sword, part of him considering whether it would count as "treasure" or not. Deciding against it, he left it on the floor and made his way over to a large treasure chest which practically demanded his attention. Some impulse compelled Zelen to try and lift a cannonball, which failed miserably as it dislodged and rolled onto the floor with a clunk. Shocked by the noise, her friend looked over and smirked. "Why don't you employ a bit of delicacy?" Morion said, imitating her voice mockingly. The Nocturne huffed and, unable to think of a comeback, muttered "Mind your own business," and turned to both hide her embarrassment and inspect a set of pirate clothes hanging from a coathook. Wait... What was that? "Hey, this thing's empty!" Morion exclaimed, frustrated, before nearly being thrown over by a certain panicked Nocturne. Grabbing his arm, she pointed at the door urgently, and as he took a moment to pay attention, he heard it too... Footsteps. "Get in!" Squeaked Zelen, diving into the chest and dragging him in with her.

Of course it would be empty, nothing is ever easy with her. She eyes the pirate suit, contemplating if Gregory would accept that... Technically he didn't outright say gold so... Steps start to sound down the corridor outside of the room, slowly approaching. Harvest froze for a second, she didn't want to encounter a pirate so soon. Analysing her options, she quickly dove for the cannon, trying to not make a sound. She was small enough to hide behind it, she hoped. Once secure behind her hidespot, she hoped that no one entered the room.
