In fact, he was the one who injured her on the very first day, and when she saw him she kept her head down and tried to stay out of his way. Izumi tried to keep interactions with the other two dragons minimal as well. The goaler looked like it could kill her with one swipe of his claws, and the mirror seemed to be quite clever however brash. Izumi was not looking to make enemies, but she made sure to keep note of these three dragons, since they were stealing with her -- if she ended up having to associate with one of them, maybe she could bluff trust. Izumi wondered what Naivke was doing back at their campsite. For the past few days and nights something about the skydancer seemed off, and Izumi couldn’t place a finger on it. She just seemed… uncomfortable. More uncomfortable than she usually was. Izumi wanted to ask her what was going on, and if she could help, but confrontation was never her strong suit. Instead, Izumi tried her best to bring back supplies that would help them. Perhaps having a good supply of survival items would put Naivke’s mind at ease, at least for a little while. Izumi started to gather as much food as she possibly could. She was already tired of eating fish that came from the river. Nearby Izumi saw two dragons, the mirror and the gaoler, fighting over a small explosive. The mirror lunged into the air and swiped the explosive from the larger dragon. The Imperial was somewhere too, but for the most part, the three of them seemed to ignore her. Izumi was slightly relieved, but she knew that they would most likely notice her if she lingered. Quickly, Izumi grabbed two bags of food, and ran off back in the direction of her camp. xx ----- Izumi dropped the two bags of food down on the floor of the brush shelter. “Look what I found!” she said, smiling at her companion, Naivke. “Now we won’t have to eat fish for every meal.” xx ----- @Ellapinky If you want to do some more interaction I’m all for it! Izumi had set out from the shelter at dawn. It was later in the morning now, and the sun’s gentle light trickled down into the bog.

One of the dragons -- Eternity, she thought his name was -- she had encountered before. In fact, he was the one who injured her on the very first day, and when she saw him she kept her head down and tried to stay out of his way. Bimala forwned in confusion. What was "that time?" After thinking about it for a few moments, she finally realised Foxglove was referring to when Bimala had pounced on her after she'd set off a flytrap. How'd they get from Foxglove trying to strangle her to them working together? Funny how things worked out. Well, considering she hadn't noticed the Skydancer slink out from the willow tree when they met again, it probably was an honest mistake. "Yeah, let's get going. But first..." Bimala climbed up the tallest tree she could find, looking around for any sign of the other Tributes, and her eyes landed upon a large group of them near what appeared to be a camp. "There's something going on at a camp over there," Bimala said after climbing back down and pointing out the direction. "There's quite a lot of Tributes. Should we start there?"

Foxglove watched the Mirror slink up the tree, then rematerialized a moment later, gesturing into the swamp. Curiously, she reached out with her Skydancer senses, probing the environment nearby. She detected terror, amusement, relief, and a hodgepodge of other conflicting emotions, none of which she was able to make sense of. “Interesting,” she said cheerfully. “Let’s go.” As they neared the camp, she distinguished a distinct emotion: the self-assured, almost reckless confidence that she was certain came from her district partner, Eternity. She paused. “Seems like your favorite dragon is there.”

As soon as she heard the words "favourite dragons", Bimala froze. The sarcastic tone of Foxglove's voice made it clear it probably wasn't Odd or Chloe or anyone she actually wanted to see. More likely it was the other Mirror or Eternity. Curse my luck. She tried to see if anything was off with the heat signature of the dragon, hoping she'd find something and they could quickly go to another Tribute that didn't almost kill her, but nope, all she succeeded in finding out was that the dragon was Eternity. Wonderful, the more threatening of the two dragons. Grumbling under her breath, Bimala carefully climbed another nearby tree to better see what was going on, and great, the other Mirror was right there sitting on Eternity's back. They appeared to be talking, but from where she was, she couldn't make anything out. "Foxglove, can you hear what they're saying?" She whispered. She didn't quite trust her stealthiness enough to get closer without alerting them, but maybe the Skydancer could.

@taytenn let’s get this GOIN (as best we can)!!!
~~~
Naivke stares at the bags, unsure of their implications.
“...not that I don’t appreciate non-fish meals, but where did you get these? We didn’t have these bags before unless you’ve been hiding a cache somewhere.
“Is this going to bring some other tributes down on our heads? Is there any chance they followed you back?”
She shifts uncomfortably, restlessly. The nausea had not abated, and she wonders if Izumi feels it, too. If this was how everyone felt, there was bound to be a lot more killing very, very fast when tensions rose.
Thezmios | Guardian | District 8 | Plague
Thezmios growled to herself as tried to wipe as much mud as she could from her body. Mud. Why was it always ******* mud? She never minded getting a bit dirty but this mud that coated her was thick and sticky and it annoyed her. It plastered her apparel against her body. The black Guardian was tempted to find a body of water to wash off in, but she doubted that she would be able to find anything else but saltwater. Thezmios couldn't tell how bad her wounds were (though they were increasingly making themselves more well-known) but the last thing the dragoness wanted to do was expose any wound to salt.
The dragoness removed as much mud as she could and clean up the worst of the wounds as much as possible. Hopefully that would be enough to keep infection from trying to start. Though time will tell on that one.
It was time to find a spot to rest. Maybe gather some food while she was at it. Thezmios wandered around, keeping her eyes out. That's when the scent of another dragon hit her nose. The Plague dragon paused, there was someone here. She looked around to the side and could form the shape of an Imperial in the shadows.
@Sidegrinder Open to rp if you want since the sim decided that our dragons will have an encounter involving fooooodddddd :P
Foxglove edged closer cautiously, straining both her sixth sense and her hearing. She only caught wisps of words, but that, the amused derision coming from Eternity, and the confusion emanating from the other Mirror told her all she had to know. “Your favorite dragon seems to be lecturing the Mirror,” she reported. Stiffening, she pricked her ears, then went on, “He’s demanding why he would kill another dragon.” Hyprocritcal, much? she thought.
Foxglove didn’t manage to catch the next words, but it seemed that Bimala’s name drifted into the mix. She wasn’t certain, however, so she didn’t mention it. The rest of the words exchanged were in distinct, but one phrase stood out to her. “He said ‘Chin up, little sister, for today is not the day we will die, nor is tomorrow’. They definitely sound like they’re in an uneasy truce.”
Demeter flushed, lunging to catch the explosive before it slipped from the imperial's back as she fumbled and dropped it, feeling her face burn hot. First there had been the skydancer who mocked her for her attempt at a clever trick, now this imperial had called her stupid, and assured her that he wasn't about to attack her -- Demeter thought her pride couldn't possibly take any more hits but even as she bristled getting ready to defend herself, she found that her terror of the imperial had lessened by a smudge. "Okay," she said "but what do you want?"
