*Note - Catching up for badges. I am a bit challenged when it comes to posting my photos in the FR forums. I also tend to not be online until after dark. So, I have been using others photos found through a search engine. None of the photos I have posted, or will be posting, are mine.

"I do love roses. One of my sons was a flower mage, and he brought this rose back from foraging one day especially for me. I seem to recall he said it was called a "Mermaid" rose, though I'm not sure why. I'm not really sure what "mermaid" means, though Delwyn looked through the library and said it was the name of an ancestor, possibly, of Maren. In any case, it is a lovely single rose, a climber, with a wonderful scent. It reminds me of Dewinblodeuyn every time I smell it since he went to serve the Gladekeeper."

The green Fae nervously steps forward, then almost flies off. Asur gently nudges him with her head, "I'll be right next to you, Ysbrydgwyrdd." He settles down, some, but is still obviously uncomfortable being the center of attention.
"I have seen these small bunnies near our garden. They seem to be much like me, rather timid and shy, as they are quick to run and hide if they think you see them. I have not seen them eating our garden plants, though I have been assured that given a small chance they will eat much of it."
Ysbrydgwyrdd steps back between the two Tundras with much visible relief.

We had a frog make a surprise visit to our backyard once last year. I didn't manage to get a photo since it was night and I was trying to relocate it before the family dog startled it with her barking. It was similar in colour to this little frog.

There aren't any ponds near where I live, but there's a small lake in the neighborhood where my grandmother lives. I recall we'd sometimes go for a walk along it whenever we spent a few days with her. There were always a lot of ducks roaming around, and many of them were mallard ducks kind of like this one.

This is a corroboree frog!

Unfortunately, they're critically endangered due to an infection that was introduced into their small habitat in the 80s. There's a big push to protect them, you can read about that here! (I actually bought a plush of one as a fundraiser, and the plush ones are not poisonous ;D )

Pond Life
Gah, this one was a bit frustrating. I don't have any water bodies in my place (unless you count the cat's water bowl, which thankfully is free of life), but the neighbours have a fish pond (as noted under Animals). But, it's winter here and by the time I got home from work it was too dark to take any photo's, assuming my neighbours were home and willing to let me do so!
So, in order to post a photo I've taken myself, I've had to stretch the definition a little: This jellyfish was hanging out in a calm section of a river (just a big, flowing pond, right?!?!?!)
