@Oranitha I don't know if you're still interested in actively developing this tool any more, but I've just picked up a gene while using the CODACOT and it would be really cool to have a gene counter in the rares row!

So the tool's just received a gigantic update! Huge, huge thanks to @Vhou for donating their time and energy: the code is cleaner, the enemy lists are much more current, and we've switched from the palette system (which was subjective and a headache) to a much simpler elementally-coded system. They actually had this work done in August, I just missed a github email (whoops). I have contributed nothing but a PR approval, please direct your thanks to them <3
Also, thanks you @BabeRuthless for reaching out and in doing so reminding me that the tool exists! WHOOPS.
Anyways, I expect to be able to update the enemy list the rest of the way once I figure out what's actually changed. Additionally, I might tweak some font and palette stuff, but I need to confirm it's even an issue first--system fonts on Linux can be a little strange sometimes.
[columns]If there's still folks using the tool actively (curse me for never making a proper pinglist), I'd really like to look at a new data collection campaign coupled with a switchover to a new spreadsheet. There's a LOT more gene scrolls in the coli, for one. Of course, versioning coli data is a nightmare anyways, but I think the changes have been substantial enough to warrant the swap, since a huge bulk of data was collected before ancients existed.[nextcol][img]https://i.imgur.com/WPLNDpY.png[/img][/columns]
The badge art seems to have aged fairly well (which is to say my pixel art hasn't improved), but the form has not. I dunno, the whole point's that this is a tool thread turned quest/challenge, yeah? Why not generate a nicely-formatted forum post from it? Something for me to explore. You'd still have to manually enter the big-ticket items of course, since having a separate counter for each gene and egg type would be, again, a nightmare.
That's all from me! I'll be posting a similar update to the tool's own thread, since all but the last paragraph of information affects both.

guess who has risen from the inactivity dead and plans on doing this again? meeeeee
i'll be starting over since it's been so heckdang long but still.
also, @Oranitha given your thoughts re: pre-ancient coli data / post-ancient coli data in your last post, should i hang on to any datasets i'll generate for the moment? if you end up switching to a new spreadsheet i wouldn't want to cause more work in having to transition data over.
