Hello everybody! We're looking for some name and lore help regarding our Dusthides! We're not quite sure what to do with them...
Here's the Dusthides in question (they all have scries in their bios if you'd like to look at them for inspiration):
^this one isn't in our lair yet, but they are in a trade with us! We're just awaiting finalization from the other user :)
The first two will be a breeding pair and the second two will also be a breeding pair. The fifth one is a permababy.
We're just looking for ideas on names and potential lore for each. We don't fully know what they're going to be doing in our lair.
For some small context on our full clan lore (it's going through a slight rewrite/revamp right now, so most stuff written down likely isn't too accurate at the moment), is that there's a war going on between the Forgotten Kingdom and the Veiled Forest. The Veiled Forest is allied with the Ark of Aberration and if you want to be technical, the Forgotten Kingdom is allied with the Banescales and Gaolers, it's just that Banes and Gaolers don't have their own separate tabs. Been contemplating giving them their own tabs like the rest of the ancient breeds, though. All of our other ancients are currently just settling in basically. As of right now, we don't fully know who is and isn't going to participate in the war, and who will ally with who if they do participate. Auraboas are the only for sure peaceful breed in our lore right now.
The only thing we have in mind for our Dusthides is that they live underground. These guys would actually make a fourth tunnel layer in our lore because of this. They would be beneath everybody else's tunnels, and they would go in this order: Tundras, Ridgebacks, Sandsurges (their tunnels are mostly for travel between sectors of Stormsurge City. However, they do have tunnels that branch off into individual dens), and then Dusthides. We also think they might be a more peaceful breed, but we're not too sure. We usually follow encyclopedia pages on breeds for lore inspiration, so feel free to take ideas from there and relay them here.
