Bluescreen is harmless enough, even if he is a multidimentional being with the power to tear the fabric of time at a whim. To the more battle-hungry denizens of the Veiled Forest, he's just another crybaby coddled by the Forgotten Kingdom, posing no real threat to their plans. There have been similar whispers in the Kingdom himself, with many under the impression that they are sitting on a battle-changing weapon that can't seem to get over itself. Perhaps this lends itself to Bluescreen's famous temper, which produces more tears on his part than it does threats. He's certainly not the helpless mope both sides take him to be - he just needs the time and space to grieve whatever it is he's going through...

Bluescreen awoke, dazed, on the shore of a beach. His memory was hazy. He remembered going into some ruins he found… hearing a voice telling him to leave… finding an orb that contained an evil spirit which he broke… the voice from before suddenly manifesting as some sort of strange otherworldly power allowing him to open rifts in space and time. His head throbbed as he tried to remember everything. His friend had came looking for him… oh, what was her name? Why couldn't he remember her name? Oh no… maybe this is worse than he thought.

Bluescreen stands up and begins to wander. He landed near a volcanic area, much like where his home was. Maybe he was back home? But this place seemed different. He walked into the closest inhabited place he could find. He didn't recognize anyone and tried to ask them if they knew anything about an evil spirit on the loose. He just got weird looks and laughed at. He trudged along, finding another place, deciding instead to ask where he was. Again, a few weird looks and a couple laughs, but an older dragon was kind enough to help him.

"Why, you're in the Ashfall Waste, dear. Now why don't you remember the name of your home? You were born here, no? You're a fire dragon like the rest of us."

The only thing he recognized was that he was a fire dragon. But… Ashfall Waste? That was an unfamiliar name… his home was called Flamerise. She must be referring to the entire volcanic area, so maybe he is close to home and just can't remember the name of his own homeland. He already forgot his friend's name. "Do you know where Flamerise is?"

"Flamerise? Is that a dragon or a place you're looking for? Can't say I've heard of either being called that."

Bluescreen's frills drooped. Now he was desperate. He needed to know. Something didn't sit right with him. "Where… What… what is this land called? Like… all of the land you know?"

"Now I'm starting to worry for your health, little one. Have you hit your head? All hatchlings learn the planet is called Sornieth."

"WH-WHAT?!" He looked around frantically. Ok, something seriously was not right here. His breaths came quick and panicked.

"Now, now, dear, calm down." The older dragon spoke in a soothing tone, placing her talons on his shoulders. "It's all ok. I'm guessing you did hit your head or something. You're alright."

"Was… was there…" Bluescreen begins to speak, voice faltering a bit, almost sounding… glitchy? That's new. "Was there an evil spirit that attacked here long ago?"

"Only thing I can think of you're referring to is the Shade." Based on the older dragon's face after she said that, Bluescreen guessed that she could tell that wasn't it.

Bluescreen continued to panic. He was on a while other world. Did that evil spirit he had reawoken send him here somehow? Did-

He hears the voice from before he was sent here in the back of his head, clearer now.

"Calm down, child," the voice speaks, and somehow, Bluescreen begins to calm. "I've brought you to my world to protect you. You are one of my descendants."

"Wh-who are you…?" He asks the voice, not realizing he spoke out loud.

"I take it you aren't talking to me with that faraway look in your eyes, dear." The older dragon's voice surprises him, and he stares in amazement. "Who do you hear, little one?"

"My name… is Naomi." The voice states. Something in Bluescreen makes him tense.

"Naomi." Bluescreen says, a little louder than he meant to. Everyone around him freezes. He looks around nervously. "Uh… something wrong?" He asks, and just as the older dragon is about to say something, complete chaos ensues.
A bright flash of every color known to dragon bursts from his body. Bluescreen gasps at the sudden surge of power he had never felt before, almost passing out. The older dragon shields her eyes as every other nearby dragon either runs away screaming or completely freezing.

"Wh-what… WHAT'S HAPPENING?!" He yells at the older dragon, panicked once more. She slowly lowers her wing, squinting at him.

"You're a descendant of the Glitch Queen Naomi…" she says. "And you are not of this world."

"What do I do?!" Bluescreen tries to calm himself, but a rift opens next to him, revealing a dark forest with a large kingdom in the distance.

"She is trying to lead you somewhere safe. Let her guide you. That is the Tangled Wood, home of the Shadow Flight. Naomi was once there despite being of Arcane. She knows that it will be safe there for you."

Bluescreen nods. "Thank you…" he whispers, then steps through the rift. He stares at the kingdom ahead of him, and feels himself begin walking towards it.
Stepping into the kingdom, all eyes are on him. "They can sense what you are," Naomi spoke in his mind. "But they will accept you with time. The Forgotten Kingdom accepts everyone and exalts few that are only of their own."

Bluescreen kept walking towards the giant castle, where he saw two dragons, a Guardian and a Fae, step out from the doors. He stopped a few feet away from.

"Greetings," the Guardian speaks, and he notices she is wearing quite regal apparel. "I am Queen Obsidian of the Forgotten Kingdom." She then turns to the Fae next to her. "And this is my mate, King GoldenClaw."

"My name is Bluescreen," he says, trying to keep his voice from trembling. "I'm a descendant of Naomi."

"I can tell," Obsidian said. "Welcome."

"You're not gonna, like, freak out or anything?" Bluescreen asked, looking at her warily.

"Of course not," she smiled.

Bluescreen let out a sigh of relief. Finally, he could be accepted somewhere. But, something in him just felt… unsafe here. Or, rather, he felt the other dragons were unsafe near him.

"Would it… really be a good idea to allow me near all the other dragons, though? I still have to figure out how to control my powers…" Bluescreen looked around nervously.1

Obsidian stood in thought for a moment. "We could build you your own palace. Then you have your own place to stay."

"An entire palace? Don't you think that's a bit much?"

"Not at all! Besides, I feel like, as time goes along, we may end up with more descendants of Naomi. And where will they go? You may be able to train them as well."

Bluescreen couldn't fight back a small smile. A palace all to himself and the ability to train and guide other descendants that find their way here? "Alright, that sounds like a plan."

"Great. Then let us get together a construction team and begin construction right away."
Construction of the palace was much faster than he thought it would go. It was just a simple stone struggle, though. Bluescreen didn't want anything too extravagant. He looked up at the palace, and already he could sense a bit of corruption setting in. Over the months it took to build the palace, he had learned what that felt like.

Although, the corruption here was stronger and more active. It was currently changing him this very moment. He could sense it. The construction team has long since packed up and left, and Obsidian had come for a small check in before having to go back to the kingdom.

Bluescreen ignored the corruption, though, choosing to walk the halls of the palace and explore it. He yearned for his friend to be there with him… she would love this. He could still feel the corruption trying to get to him.

Over time, things changed. The area around the palace seemed to glitch. There would be areas where you couldn't pass despite it being clearly open, holes in the ground that either were or weren't there and were sometimes invisible, and various other glitches. He had taken to calling it the Glitched Palace because of this.

The palace wasn't the only thing the corruption affected, though. It also affected Bluescreen himself. After some time, he had gained a strange new form, where he gained 4 extra heads, 4 extra front legs, 2 extra pairs of wings, and an extra tail. When he had shown the change to Obsidian, she said it reminded her of the Imperial Emperors that formed when enough dead Imperials were gathered in one area.

Bluescreen started calling his new form his Emperor form, and soon nicknamed himself the Cold Emperor.
One day, while out training his powers, Bluescreen could've sworn he felt someone watching him, looking around, though, he found no one. He opened a rift and returned to the Glitches Palace.

This feeling of being watched began to stick with him. Days, turned to weeks, then, almost a month and a half after the feeling began, a knock sounded on the palace doors. Bluescreen went down to open it and found a deep red Gaoler, long bright red spikes protruding from his shoulders. He looked a little nervous despite the fact that he seemed to be a demon.

"Can I help you?" Bluescreen asked, a little nervous. This was a dragon much bigger than him. Although now he remembered his friend that he had forgotten was a Gaoler.

"I uh… I saw you training a while ago and uh… I couldn't help but notice you are very powerful." The Gaoler started. "You see, I'm a demon. And my whole life was built on pain, death, and destruction until I noticed I was beginning to feel lonely. When I saw how powerful you were, I couldn't help but follow you to see more of your power. I know this will sound weird but I… I want to know if we could be allies?"

"What's your name?" Bluescreen asked, tilting his head. "If we're going to be allies, Id like to know who you are first. I'm Bluescreen, in case you didn't know."

"I go by Bloodshard," the demon stated, before a small smile formed on his face. "It's great to finally have someone to call an ally."

"You can stay here if you wish." Bluescreen said, not much thought going into his words. "Uh… I mean, if you want to…" Geez, was he really this lonely in the palace? However, Bloodshard didn't seem to argue, instead nodding and continuing last Bluescreen when he stepped aside to let him in.

Soon after Bloodshard came, another descendant of Naomi came. And another. And another. And they slowly trickled in. Every few months, a new one would come along and settle in the palace. Bluescreen smiled knowing he could help these dragons control their powers better and teach them of their lineage.

He finally found a place where he belonged in this new world. A home away from home. Now, all he needed to do was find a way to get his lost friend back.

Other Family
69248039.png
Flamebringer
The first descendant to arrive at the Glitched Palace after it's construction. While their only common ancestor is Willow, Bluescreen is quite attached to her because he trained her himself. He made the flower crown she wears.
69688874.png
Crash
Bluescreen deemed him the messenger of the Glitched Palace. The corruption has gotten to him the most, making him seem almost wolf-like in appearance. He is quite agile, though, and can quickly get messages even across long distances.
69459682.png
HeardSomebodyCry
Gave her the nickname of Cry. He offered to change her name, but she denied. Despite her being the weakest, Bluescreen avoids bullying her over it like the others in the palace. He gifted her the ring she wears.
70078470.png
Playtest
One of Bluescreen's own children who chose to stay after realizing he didn't want to explore like his siblings. Because he stayed, he has an Emperor form just like his father. Strangely, the corruption around the Glitched Palace didn't affect his tail properly. Bluescreen had the cloak he wears specially tailored for him.
71094223.png
Eclipse
A child of an Imperial, Night, from the Forgotten Kingdom and a mate he swears he doesn't remember. Based on the written lineage he came with, Eclipse and Flamebringer are half siblings. He grew an extra pair of horns and his mane became a different color thanks to the corruption.
71294063.png
Command
Another one of Bluescreen's children who had gone to another clan before returning. She had grown up quite a bit in the Glitched Palace before leaving, gifting her an Emperor form, but when she left, it seems her Emperor form started to reform with the rest of her corporeal form, giving her a split tail. She also regrew the fur because of the corruption.
74829007.png
Frostborn
Frostborn is the first G5 descendant of Naomi to enter the Palace. The corruption affected him differently, causing him to sprout bright purple feathers on his wings and tail. The rest of the feathers have all been artificially added by him for aesthetic purposes. Bluescreen is pretty indifferent to him, neither liking or disliking of him.
75871794.png
Selaenya
A descendant of not only Naomi but also a granddaughter of Queen Guinevere of the Court of Thorns. She is also Flamebringer and Eclipse's half sister. She was normal when she first came to the palace, and Bluescreen gladly taughtwe her all she needed to know about her lineage. However, when she left to visit her grandmother and came back, Bluescreen had to crack down new walls she had put up to defend herself while she was in the court.
74916368.png
Moon
Not only a descendant of Naomi, but also a Rooted Flower. Moon can trace her line back to Naomi through multiple sources, and can even trace her lineage to Ignis as well. She is quite powerful, but her powers are a little more uncontrollable compared to others because of her lineage. Bluescreen has taken to trying to help her with her powers as well as educate her about the Mourning Flowers.
74210129.png
Advantage
A Nocturne who is rarely seen within the palace for unknown reasons. Bluescreen has not seen enough of Advantage to know who or what they are like, only knowing that they share a common ancestor.
77062832.png
Infinite
Bluescreen's son, who has recently started to complain that there is something wrong with his corruption. Despite Bluescreen's attempts to get him to stay within the palace for safety of the Forgotten Kingdom, Infinite refused as he didn't want to put anyone else in danger. He lost his fur because of this, but he reassured Bluescreen that he will "soon have more fluff than the others."
87228547.png
Kernalpanic
His brother seemed to come from nowhere, both physically and almost mentally to Bluescreen. Bluescreen had almost forgotten about the younger brother he had strived to protect. To see him alive and well and in one piece was more than relieving to the Cold Emperor. However, something seems... Off about Kernalpanic. As if he doesn't fully remember anything himself.
Friends
69255305.png
Bloodshard
The actual second dragon to arrive in the palace after it's completion. Bloodshard is a demon who was one bloodthirsty and caused constant destruction in his path, before he had seen Bluescreen open a rift. Curious about Bluescreen's power, he followed the Fae around until he could finally get a chance to talk to him.

Seeing the two stumble into her shop made her chuckle quietly to herself. She could sense the power these two hold and she is sure… they are one of HER descendants. Interesting. She listens to their tale and what they wish to know with great focus, no fear in her eyes. “It is common for those that hold great power to have no recollection of the past as usually a traumatic event to gain or unlock such power blocks those memories. However, do not worry, I am here to help you both. You must understand though that some things you will hear may not always be… kind to the heart.”

She lays her claws on the table before her as her eyes glow brightly. The branches forever bound to her scales grow along her as she sees into both of their pasts. “I see another world. Sornieth is both not your birthplace or your home. Your home is somewhere far away, but your loved ones are nothing like you there even if they love you dearly.”

“So, I’m not delusional?” Bluescreen speaks up as Kernalpanic looks impatient with his brother, wanting Andria to keep going.

Andria shakes her head, “No. You never were. It can be hard for dragons to believe others could come from worlds beyond Sornieth. It is never impossible.” Bluescreen ponders her statement a bit before ushering Andria to continue.

“I see the ruins you speak of. It is common for dragons at your age to be very curious. You and your friend laugh joyfully as you both explore and come across the evil spirit. With confidence you touch the object, with your friend trying to warn you, but it is too late.” Andria stops for a second and hesitates, “Do you both truly wish to know what you have lost?”

Bluescreen stands confident, “Please. It’s the only way I feel I can rest in peace. I need to know what happened.” However, Kernalpanic seems unsure.

“But… brother, what if this ‘news’ is something we cannot handle? I fear for the worst, I do not think we should continue.”

“No. We have to. Do not run Kernalpanic. For me?”

Kernalpanic sighs as he curls up a bit awaiting the worst.

Andira continues, “The evil tries to take you. You are consumed Bluescreen and you feel yourself running out of air. It burns. But you hear something call to you screaming and crying,

Let my children go!

Rifts tear around you and you feel yourself being pulled and torn. Finally, quiet. This must be when you entered our world Bluescreen.”

“But what happened to the spirit? My friend? My home?”

“That is where Kernalpanic comes in.”

Andria faces towards Kernalpanic as she reads into him, “You knew Bluescreen was getting himself into trouble again and you simply just wanted to stay put. What you did not know was what Bluescreen did. As you waited for him to come back you heard panic. It was Bluescreen’s friend telling you to run, but you did not have time before the spirit came. You were panicking as it tore your world apart including everyone around you. That same voice that called to Bluescreen called to you,

Come to me child! There is no time!

The same rifts appear around but you had a different idea. You led that spirit into the rifts as you felt yourself being torn… the same way your brother had been.”

Bluescreen looks saddened and filled with grief. “So… our home is gone?”

Andira’s power fades as she shakes her head, “No. It was saved in a split second, but if she did not pull you both through at those moments then that evil spirit would have gained a power it should not have. A great enemy of your lineage.”

Kernalpanic is in awe but shock, “But the evil spirit and who is this ‘she’ you mention?”

“That evil spirit was sent somewhere. Is it here? Maybe, and it could be waiting for the right moment. If the evil spirit has not attacked though then ‘she’ is doing something, and this ‘she’ is Naomi. I’m sure you have heard of her and how you are her descendants.”

Both nod.

“Her story is complicated and unknown even to me. But know this, her lineage is powerful and their fates always lie in Sornieth no matter where they are. I think your fates are just finally starting.”
