I'm usually pretty open to genes. There are some I love, and some I don't really like, but look gorgeous on certain dragons, but there's just three that I hate. Crackle, scales and smirch.
1. Crackle looks like some gross crusty dried sauce or something
2. Scales is just.. kinof odd. It looks out of place on most dragons..
3. Smirch just looks like strings of saliva or something.
It makes me so uncomfortable ;-;
If ya'll can convince me to like any of those three genes, I'll do a quick colored drawing of your dragon (probably headshot/bust)

I've not found Scales dergs that I like, but my hoary old chef seems like he's got spiderwebs on him and I like it.

I like scales on spirals. I'm finding that I'm liking crackle less and less on them the more that I look at it such that all my crackle sprials will be either regened or exalted.
