"Yes, probably why he hasn't been eaten yet." Basil shifted a little not sure what to say next. Other than the murmurs from the other dragons eating and talking about various things he could feel an awkward silence creeping in. Rizzo backed up into Basil not sure if he should glare at the mirror or not break eye contact with it.

Nigoki finally realized that he was just a little too close to an animal that probably regarded him as a potential predator, but the incredibly awkward near-silence was finally broken...by a Blacktalon Striker of all things suddenly winging right into the room, feathery wings flaring wide as it came to a stop just short of them, speaking right to Nigoki. "Sir--"

But now it--or she, if the voice was any indication--seemed to have realized that one of these dragons was not one of the ones she was used to seeing, and she turned in one quick birdlike motion to face Basil now, her avian features a good deal more apprehensive. "Wait. This isn't one of ours..." A pause. "Is it?"

Basil was startled by the sudden appearance of the Blackwing and backed up from the table. Rizzo quickly clamored over his tail and hid. His frills stood up as he looked over the familiar. "No...I'm a visitor." Basil replied flatly, but his body language indicated that he was uncomfortable with the Blackwing.

Her showing up right this second was rather bad timing, yes, but she didn't quite seem to catch on to that just yet. "Wait, are you...?" It finally seemed to have clicked, and she just blinked, readjusting her sash--one that notably lacked the symbol of the Beastclans. "...You're that Fae that the Triplets saved, aren't you? The Brownfoot clan guy?"

Clearly, word spread fast.

Basil's head fins flattened, "Yes. Why do you ask?" Whoever this person was they were obviously not beastclan considering they were in this dragon's lair. Just how many dragons in this lair already knew the story he only told about 10 minutes ago? He glanced over at Nigoki.

She seemed to have a decent reason for knowing about it so quickly, though, and tilted her head. "Roku wanted me to tell you that Sangoki wanted to thank you for earlier. I think he wants to see you, but..."

Nigoki just tilted his head slightly at that, eyes narrowing a little. "But?"

"He's over with the healers?"

And now he was looking at Basil again, startled. "What?"

"I don't mind going if the healers will allow it." He looked back at Nigoki. How did he not know of the attack? Or that his son was injured? Sigurd was always one of the first dragons to know when one of them was hurt. Yet again they were such a large group he didn't think that Nigoki would have time to hear about every scrape and bruise.

He only heard so much this quickly, and that hadn't been part of it yet! "Yes, let's...go there." He seemed a little...scattered at the news, but really, who wouldn't be, if their children had been hurt badly enough to have to be dragged off to the healers? "And you're coming with us." Clearly Basil did want to go, and if either of their healer-dragons decided to kick up a fuss about it, he'd put a stop to that quickly enough.

...Or at least just long enough for them to see the others. He wasn't quite that harsh, usually.

"I'll follow you then." Basil got up to follow. He glanced at Rizzo. The mouse stuffed a beetle in its mouth before hopping off the table to follow his companion. Basil hoped that Sangoki wasn't too badly hurt. Although for the healers to make a fuss the wounds must've been worse than what he expected.

@TacoPanda Nigoki had paused to wait on the other two to come on, but now they were headed off--in one of the downwards-sloping tunnels, away from the bulk of the noise and bustle, the air itself growing a bit cooler as they headed further into the earth of the mountain. But it wasn't too far, at least, and it didn't take them long before they were able to take a turn into one of the much larger caverns. The walls were lined with shelves full of various plants and concoctions and the occasional personal knick-knack, all meticulously-ordered, and there was a small pool of water near one of the corners that seemed to be fed into and flowed out from some unseen source... And there was an Imperial over by one of the mossy floor-pads that a now heavily-bandaged Sangoki had been set down on. Down at them, considering that she was a good deal bigger than they were..."Do you want something?" And that had to be the Fae that Sangoki had mentioned before he went and passed out.
