i usually set loose "don't go below this amount" goals as i earn. i can usually hold onto my profit from selling dragons during dom battles until at least the next festival P:
also, sell every iron chest, gilded chest, & unhatched egg you get for gems. since gems feel less easily-accessible i rarely wind up spending 'em

Well I did easy mode of No Spendtember. It made it fun (sort of ha ha) to not spend my money. But right now I'm just focused on getting the sprites. 'cept the light sprite because hahahahahaha it's impossible for me now

HAH ha ha, saving money. That's a good one. There is no "saving money" for me, there's just saving up for the next thing I want.
I generally have a goal that I'm saving up for (lair/nest expansion, a new gene scroll, etc) so I can manage not to spend money until I have what I need, but sometimes I'll wind up spending money on, say, a new gene for a dragon when I really should be buying more slots for my dragons. Maybe someday I'll run out of things to buy ... but before that I'll probably wind up quitting FR, honestly.
