TOPIC | AH problem with money receiving
Okay so my friend @yoshigirl and I decided to set up a few auction with gems to recreate a problem that she experienced a little while ago. She had posted a chest from the flameforger festival for some gems but she received treasure instead, making it a huge loss.
The same thing happened to me with a potash peach. This wasn't even one of the items we were trying to recreate the problem with but I took screen shots anyway.

So what is going on and am I going to get my money back? Yoshi was nice enough to send me a new peach which I am reselling now for 100gems.

So? Is there anything anyone can do about this?

This is a problem that needs to NOT happen because when we post these items for sale for the price that we want, and we don't get that money or even the same currency, we are going to be pretty upset. I really hope this isn't a thing that's happening too much. Especially on the upper end of sales.

Youre welcome. Yeah it would be cool if we could get our gems or items back.
And if the person who bought my peach happens to run through here please let me know if you saw the item as gems or treasure because i saw it as treasure.

@Bankster have you sent in a Contact Us form? Mods can't help retrieve lost money/items so it would be your best bet if you haven't already. This is a very strange problem. I'm going to try to replicate it myself as well.

@Bankster @Yoshigirl I would definitely take chespin's advice and use the Contact Us form.
I've posted in the Bug forums several times and never gotten a response from staff, but they respond like lightning to the Contact Us!

This is quite a distressing glitch to see, since I use the AH so much myself, I'd be devastated if this happened! Best of luck to you both. :c

Sorry to hear you're still having problems with this! But yeah, the ONLY way to handle currency issues is going to be contacting the admins directly via the contact us. That goes for ANYONE having a similar issue.

Mods are just regular members with special privileges that allow them to edit posts and threads. They're volunteers, not staff and dont have access to anything that counts as the real meat of the site.

And its pretty uncommon for the admins to reply directly to a bug unless its a massive problem thats reported very quickly by hundreds of users.
