I don't know why it lacks one when almost every other player related activity has one. it gets so awkward when you misclick it and then you have to let the person know it was a mistake. it has happened to me twice and I've seen it happen to others. it's not fun.
a simple pop up window saying "are you sure you want to send this user a friend request?" would suffice.

Over the past few weeks, I've had about five people send me a request randomly and them message me to let me know it was an accident. According to half of them, they hit the button on accident while scrolling past me in the forums since the button is right there on the vista lmao

This just happened to me for the first time recently and made me feel so terrible and anxious I avoided the forums for days.
Please, I am begging. It's genuinely distressing to have this happen if you have severe anxiety and makes you feel like a complete jerk.

I saw someone once who was dead-set determined such an error was IMPOSSIBLE and people HAD TO BE LYING when they said it was an accident. That was baffling to me. Like have you never played the game on mobile? Had a pet exist near your hands? Played the game at all in general actually?
