Logic for cycling familiars:

If the dragon doesnt have a familiar, attach a familiar

If the dragon is in the den, attach am awakened familiar

If the dragon is a fligjt rep, attempt to find a elemental fest famiar to attach, pull from other dragons if nesecarry.

If the dragon is a fandragon, attach a related familiar and name it appropriately

If the dragon is a lore dragon and has a matching familiar, keep the familiar once awakened and name it appropriately

If the dragon still does not have a familiar atter going through this list, attach the first non awakened familiar and give itan obvioustempprary name (eg, bob)

always A !!! i love my familiar matching but if i dont particularly care for the dragon i'll assign an unbonded familiar until awakened

Outside of bulk familiar releases, unawakened familiars go with dragons in my Projects tab- keeps them all in one place for fast bonding and it doesn't matter if they're matchy matchy.

Awakened familiars go straight into the Vault for safekeeping, aside from a handful that are on fandragons or on my permas with completed bios (35/94 lkasdfj even worse than I thought)

B mostly, I only have a few dragons that have a permanent fam

A. I've paired most of my dragons with specific familiars, even if they're in hibden and the familiar is not awakened, though I do try to pair my awakened familiars with hibden dragons if possible.

Otherwise, I keep Fiona's Feats fams on my sales tab dragons, to bond until I get the relevant familiar and then I switch to another Fiona fam. The only dragon in that tab with an actual specifically chosen familiar is Cornflower, but she usually has a Fiona fam on her until I run out of them, then I will give her her Cursed Die back. She's also the dragon I use to 2-tab bond during festivals (also the only time when I bother to bond with all of my other familiars.)

D I suppose! I don't permanently assign familiars, I just choose one that has a matching theme + colours, bond with it until it's awakened and then get a new matching familiar for that dragon!

B for most of my non-fandragons, A for my fandragons + a few regular ones that just match too well to detach em lol

(A) for completed permas and any unawakened familiar for incomplete permas or dragons that will be staying for awhile for me.
