i bought this dusthide with a BEAUTIFUL scry, and the blossom gene is making my brain go wild!! coupled with the fact that burrowing dragons are perfect for my clan lore (which centers around some ruins in Light territory collapsing), and i HAD to figure out my lore for this guy immediately. i haven't dressed up the writing or anything yet, but i'm very excited about the concepts! he is now my autoimmune disease twin :)

[name] is a renowned historian who once lived under the Light ruins. when the ruins collapsed and he was separated from his clan, he tried to remain underground - but the collapse made the geological infrastructure of the area too unstable, and any tunnels he dug soon collapsed. the resulting shafts of light triggered a previously dormant dermal autoimmune disease (aka blossom gene). upon discovering this and feeling the pressures of isolation, [name] finally gave up underground life to search for answers, his clan, and a possible treatment on the surface, trading history for information.

Firstly, this guy is a G1 hatched on Earth Day (but not by me. I bought him.) He's the closest I have to finishing his genes! Buuuut right now his plans include Blossom. So, either I'll get to that someday, or Dusthides will get another gene that shows off those purple accent colors for his tert. Whichever comes first. :P

And then there's Rolland, whom I also bought but keep forgetting I bought! I love him. :) He's kind of my main Dustie. I also haven't decided on a tert gene for him yet. His tert may be a neutral color, but it's proving pretty hard to work with. I'll figure it out as time goes on, I'm sure.
