HELLO FLIGHT RISING!!!
That's RIGHT!! This week, Wind and Water are working together on a push! The theme is Seagull Dating Sim. There will be snacks. There will be yelling. There will be three seagulls, looking for romance and treatos. There will be YOU, our protaGULLinist, telling us how your dates went!!!

Black Back the Pirate. Some pirates hunt for treasure; Black Back hunts for ~~love~~ hot dogs, ice cream cones, and anything else that may be snatched from the hand of an unsuspecting beachcomber. Could it be that beneath that rough exterior beats a heart as passionate and full as the sea?

Rose the Ross Gull. a soft pink and dreamily romantic gull, given to grand gestures of affection, particularly when they involve their namesake flower in abundant quantities. Enjoys long walks on the beach followed by dramatic declarations of love as the sun begins to set over the water.

Kitty Wake the Kittiwake. Big personalities come in small packages, as evidenced by the fierce Kitty. What she lacks in stature, she more than makes up for in attitude and the volume of her punk rock band, The Gullettes. Enjoys showing off her sick kick flips to her partner and stealing treats (all in the name of love, of course).

you tie off your apron strings, making sure they’re wrapped around and short enough they won’t dip into the food as you lean forward to serve. you’ve been volunteering at this soup kitchen for over a year now, but it’s the first time you’ve bought a date here, and you’re a little nervous, sometimes the patrons can be a bit aggressive about portions, but you’ve got to feed everyone, after all, that’s the whole point. looking around, you check the bowls and spoons are all out, clean, and neatly arranged, though that won’t last.

a date with... ROSE!

you yank one last time on your boot lace, making sure your roller skates are very securely on. it would never do to lose a skate partway through a race, that would make it very difficult to finish! music thumps through the air, more vibration than sound at this volume, thrumming along your bones and settling your nerves as you wait for Rose to appear. She’s a little late - ideally she’d have been here and geared up by now, the derby starts soon - but not too late, not yet, you won’t miss the first run.

Rose is the most beautiful gull you've ever seen, each feather perfectly preened and placed, her namesake flower festooning her brow, perfectly made up eyes glimmering while the dust motes dance in the sunbeam leading your gaze straight to her. you sigh happily, heart thumping hard in your chest, and yell across to her, loud to be heard over the music, “OI! OVER HERE, I GOT YOU SOME SKATES! LET’S GET ROLLING!”

a date with... KITTY!

you're seated at your table, watching the door for your date to arrive, hiding your nerves by fiddling with the tablecloth, trying not to leave fingerprint smudges on the fancy and expensive-looking glass you're drinking from.

Just as you're taking a sip, a loud HUZZAH comes from behind you, and you startle, choking slightly on your water and dropping your glass so it shatters on the floor. You turn just enough to catch a blur of bright yellow coming in the window, dive past your head, and rebound off the far wall into the chair opposite you. "HOW YA DOIN', PUNK?!" Kitty demands, perching energeticaly on the chair back. "WHERE'S TEH FRIEs? The MUSIC! Let's get this date ROCKING!"

You can feel the eyes of every being in the restaurant boring into your back, but you take a deep breath, focus only on Kitty (not hard, with that yellow accent brightening the entire room) and extend your hand. "Hi, I'm---"

What happens next?!

YOU tell US! in any format you like, write up your diary entry, draw us a picture, memeify it, write up a newspaper crime and/or arrest report, make a papier mache model, a comic, rp your entire date(s), put up your toddler's fridge art picture of it, there is absolutely no requirement on format other than you have fun!
