Personally? I've dropped around 2kG more than once on special lineage dragons, but usually I offset the cost by trading eggs, I don't think I've ever spent more than that? I def have a couple projects that are going to eat up a ton of gems by the time they're done tho.

I've seen some insane prices in the AH but the most I've ever spent on a single dragon was 5000g on a G1 Lvl25 XXY Wildclaw, Caspian here.

He's gonna cost me another 2,5-3k to finish because he needs Harlequin/Jester and a decent skin but *shrugs* sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. 7-8kg is .. at least somewhat reasonable.
Thankfully I rarely have the funds (or means to acquire them) for insanely pricey dragons nor am I interested in fancy IDs or other things. Pretty dragons do not have to cost 1,2mil gems ^^

Most expensive one I've seen? I saw someone who bought a 5-digit G1 for 230kg and that doesn't even account for the 2.5 million gems they spent on an imp scroll and over 600kg on scatters and who knows how much on art

i have spent 1800g on this dragon, the single most expensive dragon i have bought, but i do have some dragons i have spent more on (g1 wildclaws...) but i gened them up myself, while Eternal here was fully gened when i got her.

The second clutch sold for less but also in the 3-digits area. But compared to the stuff I had to spend to gene up a breeding pair plus a nest incubator, it wasn't actually that big of a profit.

Usually I just get a normal-priced dragon and breedchange/gene it up myself. That's when the wallet starts crying.
