If a sentient and silent thing of ooze was also a huge stickler for academic integrity and precision. If it helps you, it isn't out of kindness; even though it never says anything, you still get the distinct sense of being corrected by an aloof professor - this is because you were doing it wrong, and it won't stand for that. Marlaisos Tries to keep upbeat and cheerful, hiding the fact that she's a little lost in life and doesn't have anyone to ask for help (estranged from parents/birth clan). She's also participated in a [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/qnc/3322493/20#post_56486638]cooking contest[/url] once if you'd like an idea of how I'd write her inner narration/thought process! [b]Lore info:[/b] Temerity Used to have a job in the clan watching over (fodder) hatchlings that were stopping by briefly in the clan to receive training (and then go off to serve the gods - a very positively-viewed role). Unfortunately, one of the many many weird things going on in the clan interacted badly with ambient magic and she was caught in the crossfire - her physical body was mangled badly, and her mind/memory took a hit, too. Currently, she slinks around the tunnels under the main clan's living spaces, off-and-on aware that she needs to take care of the children but also that she shouldn't scare them. Pyracantha As far as anyone else can tell, it was created by accident as a byproduct of some ritual or experiment, and no one has thus far stepped up to take responsibility for it. Also lives in the tunnels under the clan, but because it's mostly just goo, it can squeeze through small spaces and thus pop up unexpectedly almost anywhere, even if you think you're alone. Has been known to provide unsolicited assistance to any ongoing projects that the dragons over in the [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/den/115474/2497186?name=&type=undefined]workshop[/url] are attempting; not a friendly face, but also not a destructive or spooky presence. 1. I want to clarify that I've understood correctly: Bergamot belongs to a different clan; while Suloma is training, she and Bergamot don't meet in person, just in dreams.

4. Could I have more information on the Engarde? I'm mostly curious about what their hierarchy is like, particularly how closely tied they are to Cipher.

5. She still holds close ties to the Avariels in Waterdeep as a member of Blackstaff tower, where she splits the other half of her time as an archmage and instructor of dream-navigation.
Is Suloma able to leave and reenter the Cathedral and Waterdeep as she pleases, or are there rules in place?

6. Among the Engarde, are there any folks she's particularly close to?

7. Does Frankenstein know about Suloma being in the Cathedral and her bond with Bergamot? And if so, how does he feel about it? Does he actively try to discourage it, etc.

Sounds great, and thank you! Yes, Nozaria and I went back and forth a bit regarding the outline for this story and I told them as well that I would let them know when it was written - I would go ahead and make any edits at that point they requested pertaining to any of their characters :)

Per the questions!

1. Yes, interpreted correctly, they meet in a sort of shared dream space~
2. They are both children initially when they meet, at first not certain the other is more than a character in their dreams until they get a bit older.
3. My understanding from Hawketh’s lore regarding the Avariels is that Blackstaff Tower provides defenses for the city of Waterdeep, so Suloma’s role would be as another protector and teacher of young dragons. She would be mainly a protector against threats from the realm of dreams (such as Cipher or the Barghests).
4. The Engarde are basically a rogue group that sneaks around like mice in the Cathedral attempting to save guests. They are led by Suloma and Scipio. Cipher and the council are aware of them, but mostly see them as a nuisance and occasional source of entertainment.
5. Suloma can actually physically manifest her body in the dream realm (a very dangerous thing to do), which allows her to freely move between Waterdeep and the Cathedral.
6. Suloma is actually very close to Scipio, I had thought of pairing them up at some point, so there is a bit of a romantic relationship there :)
7. Yes, Cipher and all of the Council know about Suloma and the other members of the Engarde. Frankenstein just sort of uses this bond to tease Suloma. The council doesn’t do more about the Engarde since they are kind of just an annoying nuisance, not really much of a threat. Cipher sometimes finds this amusing, so he allows the antics to continue.
8. Yes, Suloma and Bergamot still maintain their friendship and can still see each other. Mainly Suloma sneaking up to Bergamot’s chambers to keep her company.
9. They are very close platonic friends. Suloma’s main romantic interest is Scipio~
