I can barely ever get insert image to work and i have no clue why it keeps breaking!! I know how to do it, but each time it's just broken code and just says [img] (LINK HERE) [/img]. Am I doing something wrong?? I usually press "copy image link" so I can't be copying it incorrectly

It helps if you post the actual url you're trying to put in.
I'm guessing you're using either discord or deviantart, both of which have put in measures to prevent use as an image server.

CherryJasper the issue is likely that the file is saved with all caps png file extension. flight rising does not like all caps file extensions at all for some reason, and only accepts lower case png file extension.
