i always thought that faes are the smallest dragon and auraboas are biggest. i dont thik that vielspuns are small, they seem big to me
so veilspuns are the smallest and aren't imps the biggest? i'd love to see a comparison between the two

I physically cannot see them as small. Their anatomy reads as large to me so I totally expected them to be rather big as well and that's what I treat as canon. All my veils in my lore are quite big, as big as wildclaw at least. It's an endless frustration for me that they're supposed to be tiny
Who said they had to, seeing as snappers don't?
honestly, looking at wing proportions, only faes and maybe nocs should be able to fly
their wings are tiny, how else would they fly?
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a veilspun should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its lanky little body off the ground. The veilspun, of course, flies anyway because veilspun don't care what humans think is impossible.

i never had any trouble imagining them as small possibly because i found out they were tiny the day they were released

if it helps, you can try imagining them as squinting? the babies have large eyes

I mean, it's true that they're proportioned like bigger dragons, but like, Tinkerbell-style fairies are proportioned like normal people despite being only a few inches tall. Maybe that's what the devs had in mind?

my thought process seeing their design before (parts of its design process were livestreamed first) and around release was "bug dragon bug dragon bug dragon" and bugs is tiny so i had no problem accepting veils as also tiny. i feel kind of in the minority in that regard lmao

Agreed @PixelSpiral, I think they look ok for their size, but for a slightly different reason. They give me ferret vibes! Ferrets have a similar proportion of head & eyes to the rest of their body. Also, I can totally picture this Shadow-born dragon moving around in the bizarre slinky way that a Mustelid does.
