Hi hi hi this has been my current hyperfixation for the past year or so and I'm wondering if there are any other ORV enthusiasts out here on this site :)
I'm currently in the mid-late 300's of the chapters so no spoilers please. Discussions about the actual book CONTENT itself please remain in pms to avoid any spoilers.
This is a mostly internet based fandom with only the first novel in english published recently in its webtoon/manhwa format :,) so it's hard to find people irl to talk about this with. I want this to be an opportunity to connect with more people over this wonderful book and hopefully for others to do the same!
Feel free to talk about how you like it, when you started it, your favorite characters, etc.

Ah yes, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. The novel which single-handedly threw me back into reading webnovels, plus getting into manhwas too. Around a year or two ago I watched a funny, kinda spoilery summary of the entire novel on Youtube, said 'Yeah, that sounds like my kind of novel,' then proceeded to read the entire 550 or so chapters over like 3 days. 10/10 would binge read again.
Not sure what else to discuss without spoilers, but reading this post made me think of the possibility of ORV fandragons, so here's a scry + outfit for Kim Dokja

That story is currently on my to be read list, as of right now I have read through chapters 1-10. Somebody I interacted with on another site who really liked anime told me I may find enjoyment from the webnovel from the various genres it is, because they know I have no issue with reading extremely long comics.
@
firedragon68 I really enjoyed looking at that scry, it seems very accurate to the character from what I know! Also, I have read a few other long things over a short time amount so I fully believe you finished it in a few days, that’s certainly extremely impressive.

firedragon68 omgg that scry is AMAZING! I think I know what video you're talking about and honestly I thought I would be able to watch most of it but I should have known... I only ended up at the 1 minute mark or so out of the 5~ minutes. Now I'm trying to read at least another 1000 pages before the new year so that I'm only like 2k away......

PlagueAlchemist it has 551 chapters and around 7k+ pages so it's REALLY long, however once you're hooked, you might take months break from reading it but it'll always be at the back of your mind. Known from personal experience lol-

SpiritFlower Thanks a lot for letting me know how much you enjoyed the reading experience, seems like it was very memorable! I’ll read it whenever I have the time to, I did very much so like the first few chapters I paged through. The story is an extremely interesting one, given it’s so unique, I’ve not seen much else like it anywhere.

I'm within the 400's now and I think it's time to revive this thread because there's SO MUCH going on like a new animated show in the works- HELLO?? And it's the same company that made Demon Slayer I believe, so it's going to be awesome.
Please if there's any ORV fans out there, feel free to reach out or respond in this thread :,)) it's so hard to find people irl that know this webnovel so online is where it's at.

@SpiritFlower Update: Kim Dokja dragon is real

I leveled him all the way to 25 while rereading ORV. For that real Kim Dokja experience. I also have Han Sooyoung, but she's still a WIP. I'll get around to making our favorite sunfish protagonist once I finish at least a few of my other breeding projects...
I used dragon search and there's apparently 41 unexalted dragons right now with Dokja in their names, the majority clearly looking like ORV fandragons (and not just randomly named Dokja). Just in case, it's best to avoid checking their bios-- most have designs/broadcasts based on only WN ch 188 spoilers (end of this current arc for manhwa readers), but I saw some epilogue spoilers in at least a couple of their bios. Very nice to see there's more ORV fans around on FR though.
Also ORV anime news? From what I've seen the studio isn't confirmed yet, but it's probably going to be announced at Anime Expo in a few days, so that's pretty cool. There's also a live action adaptation in production (5 movies for the whole thing apparently?), which I'm probably going to watch despite never being interested in live action stuff. Gotta get that ORV content, no matter the medium.
...speaking of ORV content, did you know the side stories are still ongoing? That's right, once you've finished the main 551 chapters, there's actually more out there. It's pretty much a sequel in all but name, over 200 chapters and they keep writing more. I'm not exactly up to date on them, with it being trickier to find translations and all, but what I have read was pretty great

I'm reading it!! I'm at 49% I think. haven't read it because I had a week of school, but I usually read it at school during the breaks between classes!
some of it is kind of depressing though and I've heard the ending is very bittersweet, so that makes me kind of tentative to finish it though tbh TuT
I got my friend (who got me to read it) to kind of spoil the ending to me and it's not as bad as I was expecting, but I still rarely read things that don't have happy endings, so I'm not sure if I'll ever finish it... but also the ending is very far away, so I'll keep reading, just not sure if I'll actually read the very end haha

firedragon68 HE'S HERE AAAAA I love your KDJ fandragon sm and I can't wait to see what's in store for that sunfish protag lolll
Also that's so cool that there are more dragons that seem like ORV fandragons. People who read ORV I think are either really scarce on here or really well hidden lol. Also I can't wait to see all the webtoon readers react to the 73rd Demon King arc. It really does kick off the story as not just a survival plot but something much deeper.
As for the anime, I think it's greenlit, but yeah hopefully the studio or other news about it is released. I'm sad I can't go to the Expo :,))) why does everything have to be in Caliiiii
Also wait what 5 movies??? I'm so excited- more actors have been revealed and I think it's going to go well. I'm also not the biggest live action watcher but I need all the ORV content I can get
AINT NO WAY THE SIDE STORIES ARE STILL GOING. I thought they were part of the epilogue or smt like that. Over 200 chapters??? Oh my goodness I was worried that after I finished ORV with all 551 chapters, I'd have nothing else but to reread it over and over. This is daunting info but also a relief lol. I hope the authors are doing well :)))
